In that novel Orwell wrote the following haunting passage: \u201cIt was not desirable that the proles should have strong political feelings. All that was required of them was a primitive patriotism which could be appealed to whenever it was necessary to make them accept longer working-hours or shorter rations. And even when they became discontented, as they sometimes did, their discontent led nowhere, because being without general ideas, they could only focus it on petty specific grievances. The larger evils invariably escaped their notice.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

As if to respond to Orwell\u2019s warnings, on January 1, 1984, the Freedom Party of Ontario officially came into being and in its 1984 paper titled \u20181984 Is Here\u2019 the conclusion drawn read as follows:<\/p>\n

\u201cShort of outright brainwashing, all of the frightening elements of George Orwell\u2019s famous Nineteen Eighty-Four are commonplace in Canada:<\/strong> propaganda, monopoly, war-mongering, forced equality, twisted language, and an abdication of individual responsibility to the state in all but the least important matters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ironically in 2022 \u201coutright brainwashing\u201d has actually become commonplace thanks to the weekly, daily, and hourly terrorist propaganda emanating from the state-funded mainstream media. <\/strong> As if to repeat a history that had not yet been written, today\u2019s \u201cpetty specific grievances\u201d have all been staged around distractions like \u2018Covid-19\u2019 or \u2018fighting climate change,\u2019 while the larger evil goes unnoticed.<\/p>\n

The Great Re-set and the fascist agenda unfolding behind the distractions remain unseen by a significant portion of the population.<\/strong> Caught up in \u201cpetty specific grievances,\u201d they\u2019ll never be able to understand the crisis in a way that’s Just Right \u2013 that the eternal battle we all face is one between tyranny and freedom.<\/p>\n
