Take it figuratively.  Works both ways.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the politically driven debate about \u201cfighting climate change,\u201d the actual \u201cscience\u201d surrounding climate and the earth\u2019s environment is simply not relevant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just ask Chris Ballard, Ontario\u2019s Minister of the Environment and Climate Change.  In his Sept 9 letter to the editor disputing a column by Lorrie Goldstein, Ballard wrote the following:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Ontario&#8217;s independent environmental Commissioner said in her annual report, \u2018putting a price on carbon by itself would not be enough to achieve Ontario&#8217;s reduction targets&#8230; Ontario needs complementary emission reduction measures.\u2019<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s these additional investments that separate our plan from the rest.  We&#8217;ve consulted with Ontarians and we know that FIGHTING CLIMATE CHANGE responsibly is something they want.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I would encourage you to read our Climate Change Action Plan and make up your own mind about our plan to cap <strong>POLLUTION <\/strong>and invest in low-carbon choices for residents and businesses.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It is remarkable how Ontario&#8217;s &#8220;Minister of the Environment and Climate Change&#8221; has now defined a perfectly natural part of earth&#8217;s atmosphere as &#8220;pollution.&#8221;  This is simply not so.  It is the gas of life, and <strong>increased quantities of CO2 in earth\u2019s atmosphere \u2013 far in excess of that feared by \u201cclimate change fighters\u201d \u2013 would generally be more beneficial to humanity and life on this earth, than harmful.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ontario\u2019s continuing <strong>\u201cclimate change\u201d propaganda<\/strong> reveals that the government&#8217;s intentions have little to do with &#8220;climate change&#8221; but are about \u2013 as always \u2013 wealth redistribution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery dollar collected from our cap on pollution and carbon market must be reinvested into projects that fight climate change,\u201d Ballard wrote.
