On April 6, a tragic highway accident claimed the lives of 16 people associated with the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team on their way to a playoff game in the town of Nipawin, Saskatchewan. The outpouring of international support resulted in a GoFundMe campaign that raised millions of dollars for the families of the victims.<\/p>\n

So it is understandably beyond the understanding of most people why anyone would express \u2018cynicism\u2019 about the \u201cmaleness, the youthfulness and the whiteness\u201d of those who died. Yet that\u2019s exactly what left-wing activist and journalist Nora Loreto<\/strong> posted to her Twitter account in her ostensible effort to promote \u201cjustice and more for so many other grieving parents and communities.\u201d But when one considers that Loreto\u2019s past tweets include comments like \u201cWhite men are the worst beings that orbit the Sun,\u201d<\/strong> it is clear that she is not motivated by any sense of \u201cjustice\u201d for \u201cother grieving parents.\u201d<\/p>\n

That Loreto is a racist and a sexist is undeniable \u2013 by any objective definition of those words, and by the comments and actions of Loreto herself. But racism and sexism are mere symptoms of a greater social disease:<\/strong> thinking of individuals as mere members of some subjectively pre-defined collective <\/strong>who all think and look alike.<\/p>\n

Politically, this social disease<\/strong> manifests itself entirely on the Left. There, the notion of \u2018group rights\u2019 takes the form of communism, fascism, socialism, progressivism, and other proven and demonstrated evil forms of state control and supremacy over the rights of the individual.<\/p>\n

Small wonder that Loreto asserts that \u201cthe far Right manufactures hate on line,\u201d which is the real target of her irrational outrage. So when the Rebel Media\u2019s Ezra Levant<\/strong> asked \u201cWhat\u2019s right wing and left wing got to do with this?\u201d he could not but help conclude with at least half of the answer: \u201cBecause (Loreto\u2019s) on the Left.\u201d<\/p>\n

Like many commentators who see themselves on \u201cthe right,\u201d Levant\u2019s criticism of the Left is powerful and right on the mark, citing \u2018identity politics,\u2019 \u2018post-modernism,\u2019 \u2018Marxism,\u2019 \u2018feminism,\u2019 \u2018racism,\u2019 \u2018victim culture,\u2019 \u2018white nationalism,\u2019 \u2018white supremacy,\u2019 \u2018anti-male chauvinism,\u2019 and other evil traits of the Left.<\/p>\n

But where is the \u2018right wing\u2019s\u2019 defense of the Right?<\/strong> Where is the direct answer to silly assertions like \u201cthe far Right manufactures hate on line,\u201d in the light of understanding that the Right represents individualism and individual rights \u2013 two principles utterly incompatible with group hatreds?<\/p>\n

Against the Left\u2019s repetitive assertions morally equating Left with Right, tyranny with freedom, group rights with individual rights and equating other incompatible and opposite concepts, the majority of those on \u2018the Right\u2019 have failed to offer any clear distinctions or moral defenses of what is Right.<\/p>\n

With a concentrated focus only on the evils of the Left<\/strong> and rarely on the virtues of the Right, the Right has naturally been losing ground. Consequently, the Left has won the moral support of the majority of the public, the mainstream media, and yes, even a significant number of those who call themselves \u2018right wing.\u2019<\/p>\n

As long as the conflict between Left and Right continues to be debated by the two so-called \u2018wings\u2019 of left and right, the odds of freedom and capitalism being found anywhere on the \u2018winged\u2019 political spectrum are next to nil.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s missing and is needed in the Left and Right debate is the Freedom <\/strong>side of the issue. After all, it\u2019s the only side that\u2019s Just Right!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
