Last year, as listeners to December 13th\u2019s Just Right discovered, Danielle spent her Christmas hospitalized in an intensive care unit with little expectation of survival.   This year, she opens the show with a reminder that \u201cthe corpse still has the floor\u201d \u2013 citing a line from one of her favorite Christmas movies, The Ref.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Christmas is that time of year when <strong>Christmas movies and music<\/strong> become a hot topic of discussion as people cite their favorite and least favorite entertainment representatives of the season.  Added to the usual disagreements over which songs\/movies are the best or worst, has been the inappropriate but inevitable racist\/sexist <strong>narratives pushed by the social justice warriors who are oblivious to the original Christmas spirit underlying the targets of their criticisms.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the controversy surrounding the song, \u2018Baby It&#8217;s Cold Outside,\u2019 to social justice concerns about the \u2018bullying\u2019 in Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, the Christmas season is becoming the silly season.<\/p>\n<p>And on the seasonal matter of giving and receiving, while Robert suggests that to say \u2018it is better to give than to receive\u2019 represents a moral inequity, Danielle interprets \u2018better\u2019 simply as \u2018easier\u2019 &#8211; which may itself \u2018present\u2019 an inequity of a different kind.
