It has recently been announced that Donald Trump\u2019s 2020 re-election campaign will focus on \u201cexposing socialism<\/strong>,\u201d a welcome objective to be sure, but no easy task.<\/p>\n

Socialism appears in a myriad of forms, many individual components recognizable, yet with socialism\u2019s greater destructive ideology remaining invisible to its victims.<\/p>\n

For example, few would recognize socialism in government efforts to \u2018fight climate change<\/strong>.\u2019 <\/p>\n

To \u2018fight climate change,\u2019 governments have imposed what they call a \u2018carbon tax<\/strong>\u2019 or a \u2018price on carbon\u2019 \u2013 citing \u2018carbon pollution\u2019 as something that needs to be eliminated in order to keep the climate from changing.<\/p>\n

Yet, so-called \u2018carbon taxes\u2019 exist for one reason and one reason only \u2013 as forced wealth redistribution schemes<\/strong>. And that\u2019s socialism, not climate fighting.<\/p>\n

In Canada, the federal government has begun redistributing its newly imposed \u2018carbon\u2019 taxes in the most blatant and undeniable way possible: by encouraging Canadians to \u2018claim their climate action incentive payments\u2019 redistributed from \u2018carbon\u2019 taxes imposed on natural gas and gasoline.<\/p>\n

In Ontario where the \u2018carbon taxes\u2019 were just imposed on April 1, bewildered taxpayers called open line shows to express their anger at the idea of being \u2018taxed just to be given the taxes back.\u2019 None could understand the logic behind doing this, since all were misled to believe that the government was actually serious about \u2018fighting climate change\u2019 \u2013 which is simply not so.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for people to intellectually arm themselves by learning that socialism is the political manifestation of the Left, and the Left in all its forms represents an ideology of destruction.<\/strong> If there\u2019s one thing socialism is not, it\u2019s social. Socialism should really be called \u2018Socialisn\u2019t.\u2019<\/p>\n

To change the narrative about socialism that so far has always been just Left, the real challenge in \u2018exposing socialism\u2019 is to define socialism in a way that\u2019s Just Right.<\/p>\n
