988 - The technological—versus the tech illogical

DSA

It should not be surprising that the Left, being anti-industrial in its fundamental mindset, should also be opposed to technology itself. One would think that an innocuous and friendly demonstration of a technological advancement in the form of a 'flying' car would be appreciated and admired by all. After all, where's the possible harm in that?

Again and not surprisingly, the answer to that question has been provided by an on-line army on the Left that has gone out of its way to denounce both the invention and its creator - Elon Musk.

The complaints and criticisms offer a unique exhibit of the extreme psychological polarity between those on the Left and those on the Right. Unlike political, economic, and social issues that have long been associated with a Left and Right polarity, one might never expect such a divide over the invention of a brilliant technological device.

In contrast to the joy and appreciation expressed by those on the Right, the expression of sheer hatred and resentment by those on the Left speaks to a very deep rooted and anti-human psychological malaise.

Humans are technological beings. It is only thanks to the advancement of technology that humanity itself has emerged from the savagery of nature and primitive tribal violence into a culture of unparalleled individualism.

But as always, technology can be used for good or evil. If there's one persistent danger associated with any technology of any age, it manifests itself when monopolized and controlled by those whose political objective is control over others.

In the hands of the Left, all technologies represent a danger to human survival and individualism. That's why, for technology to result in true human advancement and progress, it must always be wielded by those who use it in a way that is Just Right.
