Clip (xPost Parody: Try a brain)
I used to believe everything I’d see on the news, but that’s before I discovered a brain. A brain is meant for everyday use. Those living with moderate to severe stupidity have seen immediate improvement in common sense with a brain. I thought the government had my best interest at heart, and then a friend told me about a brain.

Talk to your doctor about what news sources you obey. A brain may also lower your desire to take life-altering advice from celebrities. Getting lectured about my carbon footprint from people with three private jets used to make sense. But thanks to a brain, now I can think for myself every day. When my disregard for third grade biology began to flare up, I knew it was time for a brain. Do not try a brain if you’re allergic to a brain. Common side effects may include accountability, discernment, homeschooling your kids, a better understanding of economics, awareness of the stupidity of socialism, and diarrhea. For tethering yourself to reality, the only no-brainer is choosing a brain.

Ask your doctor if a brain is right for you. For more information, visit triabrain.com.

Bob Metz:
Welcome everyone. It is Wednesday, January 21st, 2026. I’m Bob Metz, and this is Just Right, broadcasting around the world and online. Join us for an hour of discussion that’s not right-wing.

It’s just right. As a Christmas present this past Christmas, one of my grandsons gave me a 2026 daily calendar featuring a grown-up joke on each day’s entry. And one of them made me smile: “If the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then lefties are the only ones in their right mind.” And as an example of word play, it’s kind of a cute joke. But in terms of actually making any sense, it doesn’t. And I’m not just talking about the obvious contradiction between comparing a motor function of the brain with the mind and its content.

In fact, getting you to ignore that distinction is kind of necessary to appreciate the humour. Actually, if you reverse that joke to read, “If the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, then righties are the only ones in their left mind,” then even as word play, it doesn’t quite play as the original. And that’s because as a matter of sanity, I can understand what it means to say that a person is in their right mind. But what does it possibly mean to be in their left mind?

Well, word play aside, for examples of that, we have no further to look than the ICE storm currently brewing in America, a storm that appears to be sliding down the slippery slope to insurrection and all that that might entail. A left mind is one that has been stuffed with irrational ideas and ideologies. It’s not the brain that’s the problem.

It’s what’s being stuffed into it that makes an otherwise healthy brain dysfunctional. And the consequence is stupidity, which is why on today’s show, after presenting evidence of the sheer stupidity driving the anti-ICE riots, we’ll be examining the fundamental nature of stupidity itself once again, which is something we’ve done on past broadcasts. But this time, we’ll be looking at it in a context we haven’t yet entertained. So yeah, it’s going to be a pretty stupid show today, one that hopefully will leave us all at least a little bit smarter by its end.

After all, as our show opener today suggests, those living with moderate to severe stupidity have seen immediate improvements in common sense with a brain. And it all starts right after our reminder that you can write us at feedback at justrightmedia.org. Hear us on WBCQ on Channel 292 Shortwave. Because as always, your financial support is appreciated and is what makes this show possible. In a way, this week’s presentation is a continuation of our theme last week about the nature of force and how it is applied in a dictatorship versus how it is applied in a free democracy. And we noted that at the root of every civilization or nation sits the mechanism and moral justification for the use of force.

And more importantly, we emphasized that when we speak of government, the use of force is what is governed. But beyond that, it appears that my prediction last week that the ICE shooting has yet to explode into its predictable leftist violence response has already become a full-blown crisis, leading to serious talk about whether or not Trump will invoke the Insurrection Act, which theoretically could happen at almost any time. And once again, just for the record, and now having had more than a week to review the evidence and arguments, I think the ICE agents’ shooting of René Good was completely justified.

But that story is already old news, having been pushed into the shadows by more recent events about which we’ll be hearing shortly. The anti-ICE radicals are just another version of Black Lives Matter and Antifa, Woke, and a whole variety of manifestations of Marxist doctrine and the politics of the left. Stupidity in its political form. But until we arrive at that point in our conversation, arguing that the anti-ICE protesters are too stupid to be allowed to persist, on this side of our upcoming bumper, the War Room’s Harrison Smith podcast of January 15 also featured his own clip from AsmongoldTV, responding to a leftist idiot. And on the return side of the bumper, Megyn Kelly accuses Tim Walz of preaching the most inflammatory rhetoric since the Civil War. Here we go.

Clip (The War Room: Harrison Smith)

Pamela (DHS representative):
In the last five weeks, we have arrested 2,500 criminal illegal aliens off the streets of Minneapolis. People like that.

If I can finish, if I can make my point, I appreciate your having me, but I do want to be able to make my point. The point of the matter is, I have not seen CNN cover who some of those individuals are. An individual from Ecuador who murdered his three-month-old son.

An individual who’s perpetuating human slavery and human trafficking. Scores and scores of murders, child pedophiles. Why does the media not talk about that? We continue to see that people love to demonize law enforcement, vilify them as they’re facing a thousand percent increase in assaults against them. And yet we’re not talking about the great work that they’re doing on the ground, the fact that they are risking their lives day in and day out to get these criminals off the streets. Gang members, known suspected terrorists. These are all the people that we’ve arrested in Minneapolis.

And DHS, as Secretary Noem, President Trump, have done a phenomenal job of trying to give people transparency on who we are arresting. Rapists and murderers.

Harrison Smith:
These people, I mean, again, just let’s just let these people are not protesting anything real. They’re just not. They’re not protesting the abuse of our government against the citizens. They’re not protesting unfair laws that unfairly apply to certain people and not other people. They’re not protesting some sort of uncovered crime or scam that was hidden and then revealed and now they’re mad about it. No, they are literally protesting the arrest of criminals. They are protesting law and order itself. They’re fighting something that doesn’t exist. That isn’t real. That only affects their imagination.

And it’s honestly kind of sad. These people are too stupid to be allowed to persist. This is clip 30. I believe this is Asmongold responding to a leftist idiot that should be arrested. Let’s watch.

Asmongold (responding to activist clip):

Activist Speaker 1:
Our buildings to occupy. There are Board of Regents members houses to decorate.

And as always, there are streets to march in and there are campuses to shut down.

And so you want to shut down a campus?

Asmongold:
What gives you the right to shut down a campus? This is insane. And this is what happens for years and years and years of soft policies, preferential treatment and no accountability does to a person. This is what it does to them right here.

Activist Speaker 1:
We need to be taking even more militant actions, even then the encampment more militant actions.

Asmongold:
And this is the problem is that you have people that are out here that are advocating for this stuff and nothing ever happens to them. They never face accountability. They never go to jail. They never get arrested.

Nothing ever happens. Isn’t it crazy? I don’t know how this is real. Oh, my God, like top three experiences of my life chasing riot cops away. What are we doing, allowing so many people in the country to just pretend like they’re warping inside of a video game, committing crimes willy nilly all the time? And how is this like what’s going on here? Really, this is insane.

Incredible. We need to go into the fall like ready to punch administrations in the gut. It means a lot to be able to sort of like debrief to other communists. The fact that we had like even one meeting directly with the president of the university, who was an interim president, like, he’s kind of like really stupid. He let us walk all over him.

Plus with the new. This is why you never give these people an inch, because they’ll take a mile.

To the extent that you try to be reasonable with them and explain things to them and try to see their point of view, they will view that as weakness and take advantage of it. 100 percent. Asmongold has become like one of the best political commentators anywhere.

And I do think maybe the most telling thing there is when she says, you know, the interim president of our university agreed to meet with us. He was an idiot. We walked all over him.

I’m sure he thought he was being reasonable.

Harrison Smith (continued):
Another night of utter chaos in Minneapolis. Here’s what happened last night. According to the Department of Homeland Security, it all started just before seven PM local when federal law enforcement conducted a targeted traffic stop of an illegal immigrant. Why was he even on the streets of Minneapolis? One might ask. One sane person might ask. Joe Biden’s administration released him into the country over three years ago. Rather than comply with officers’ demands, the suspect fled the scene and ended up crashing into a parked car. A pursuit on foot then ensued and the officer caught up to the illegal, who then resisted arrest and violently attacked the officer.

As Trump once famously said, they’re not sending their best. Two other individuals came out of a nearby apartment. They decided to join the fight. Was it on the side of the law enforcement officer making a proper arrest?

No, of course not. This is Minneapolis. They decided to help the illegal immigrant attack the officer joining in with a snow shovel and a broom handle. Now it’s three against one. DHS described the attack as an ambush. In the scuffle, the original suspect got a hold of the shovel and the broomstick and began beating the officer with them.

The officer fired one defensive shot. This is what the left has asked for. Hitting the initial suspect in the leg.

This is what they’re supposed to want. All three individuals who attacked the officer then fled to a nearby apartment and barricaded themselves inside. The attackers were eventually taken into custody as eventually they all are when they engage in this kind of behavior. And both the illegal immigrant who was shot and the officer, sadly, are now in the hospital. We believe at this hour, neither has been discharged. DHS writing in a statement, “This attack on another brave member of law enforcement took place while Minnesota’s top leaders, Governor Walz and Mayor Frey, are actively encouraging an organized resistance to ICE and federal law enforcement officers.

Their hateful rhetoric and resistance against men and women who are simply trying to do their jobs must end.” Despite the tension between local and federal officers, Minneapolis police chief Brian O’Hara spoke at a press conference last night and largely backed up DHS’s account of the shooting. We might want to share that with the New York Times because they’re not convinced. Publishing a story with the headline, federal agent shoots immigrant in Minneapolis. Homeland security says nothing about the fact that he was being attacked by that immigrant and two others. Zero mention that the suspect was an illegal immigrant. Just an immigrant, just like some random minding his own business immigrant like could have been Elon Musk, just an immigrant. Nothing about him being an illegal. Nothing about the shovel, nothing about the broom handle. And now today, this morning, look at this, the New York Times wasn’t satisfied with its headline.

It actually had to go back and edit it again. Did they add in broom handle? Did they add in shovel? Did they add in illegal? No, they took out the word immigrant. Now it’s federal agent shoots man in Minneapolis prompting tense protests.

Just man, like an American, it was an American basically. It was just some random man minding his own business who got shot by the evil ICE. Around 200 protesters as a result began gathering at the scene of the poor man, just man being shot by the evil ICE officer and began additional attacks on law enforcement. Take a look at this video by independent journalist Nick Sortor of protesters attacking a federal vehicle and going for what could possibly go wrong.

It’s weapons locker. And they got it. Great. And here’s what the radicals had to say about what they pulled out of the federal vehicle.

Protester Speaker 1:
One of the ICE agent vehicles got broken into and I found this paperwork. It has a list with FBI operation info.

It’s got full names of FBI agents, phone numbers, emails. There’s maps on where they’re staying, where they’re holding immigrants. There’s hotel names in there. There’s judge names. This paperwork has people’s full names and their emails. And she’s showing it all on camera.

Harrison Smith (continued):
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, a Democrat, spoke last night and tried to claim the moral high ground on this.

Mayor Jacob Frey:
And I have a message for ICE. To ICE, get the hell out of Minneapolis.

Harrison Smith:
Oh, I guess that was just, he was asking for support for ICE there.

Clip (Megyn Kelly Podcast: How insane is that?)

Megyn Kelly:
So what about Minnesota Governor Tim Walz? We heard some of the most inflammatory rhetoric about the feds from a sitting governor since like the Civil War.

Take a look.

Governor Tim Walz (clip):
What’s happening in Minnesota right now defies belief. News reports simply don’t do justice to the level of chaos and disruption and trauma. The federal government is raining down upon our communities. Two to 3000 armed agents of the federal government have been deployed to Minnesota. Armed, masked, undertrained ICE agents are going door to door, ordering people to point out where their neighbors of color live. They’re pulling over people indiscriminately, including US citizens and demanding to see their papers. And at grocery stores, at bus stops, even at our schools, they’re breaking windows, dragging pregnant women down the street, just plain grabbing Minnesotans and shoving them into unmarked vans, kidnapping innocent people with no warning and no due process.

Let’s be very, very clear. This long ago stopped being a matter of immigration enforcement. Instead, it’s a campaign of organized brutality against the people of Minnesota by our own federal government.

Megyn Kelly:
That is so incendiary. How insane is that? How insane is it?

It’s insane to the point of being stupefying.

Bob Metz:
And that, to reality, we’ll be examining shortly. But when Megyn Kelly asked whether or not the two other residents joined the fight on the side of the law enforcement officer making a proper arrest, my first thought turned to the legal definition of force that we cited last week: “A person may use as much force as is reasonable in the circumstances in the prevention of crime or in the effecting or assisting the lawful arrest of offenders or suspected offenders or of persons unlawfully at large.” And if ever there was a definition that justified the actions of ICE officers, that legal definition was it. And just in case anybody’s forgotten, ICE stands for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. And regarding the Insurrection Act itself, on January 17, Robert Vaughan asked Grok, what is the Insurrection Act and under what circumstances can a president invoke it?

Consider the current situation in Minnesota. Can it be invoked in this situation? And to briefly summarize Grok’s response: “The Insurrection Act of 1807 is a U.S. federal law that authorizes the president to deploy U.S. military forces or federalize the National Guard domestically to address civil disorder, insurrection or rebellion. And citing sections 251, 252 and 253 of the Act, section 253 summarizes that the president may act unilaterally to suppress insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combinations or conspiracies that either one, hinder the execution of laws such that people are deprived of constitutional rights or two, oppose federal authority in cases where state authorities are unable, fail or refuse to provide protection. Protests and unrest in Minneapolis have been ongoing since early January 2026, primarily in response to aggressive federal immigration enforcement operations by ICE and DHS. The situation escalated after fatal shootings by federal agents, including the death of René Good on or around January 7th. Can the Insurrection Act be invoked in this situation?

Yes. The president has the legal authority to invoke it unilaterally. The ongoing protests involve elements of domestic violence and potential obstruction of federal law enforcement, specifically immigration operations, which could arguably meet the thresholds under section 252, impracticality of enforcing federal laws or 253, domestic violence or unlawful combinations. The president’s threats indicate he views the criteria as potentially met. Invocation would be highly controversial, with critics describing it as an overreach and it remains rare for situations short of widespread uncontrollable disorder. A similar threat was made during the 2020 George Floyd protests in Minneapolis, but not acted upon.

Ultimately, the decision rests on the president’s discretion.” And for his part, Harrison Smith was right on the mark in noticing that the rioters are not opposed to rapists or murderers. They’re not protesting anything. Literally, they’re protesting the arrest of criminals, law and order itself. And I fully agree with his assessment that these people are too stupid to be allowed to persist and that we live in a country that is occupied by children. Megyn Kelly in referring to the weapons locker and the things that they pulled out, all that paperwork list of FBI operations info, etc.

It’s my understanding that it subsequently turned out that they arrested the person who broke into that locker and he turned out to be a gang member with numerous criminal convictions in his history. So go figure. But of course, not everybody sees the ICE controversy in an objective light. And I found it very disappointing that one of those people was Jimmy Dore. I think Jimmy Dore entirely missed the mark during his January 16 podcast, purportedly demonstrating how the ICE agents are indiscriminately violating US citizens’ rights. The most frustrating part of his argument was that the very video clips he was using to make his case contradicted his arguments.

So for a completely different perspective from that of AsmongoldTV, Megyn Kelly and Harrison Smith, here’s Jimmy Dore arguing that the whole ICE agent agenda is merely the police state in action.

Clip (The Jimmy Dore Show: Not the child molester police)

Jimmy Dore:
He has a gun on him. Look at that. A fully registered firearm.

Fully registered. Oh, what’s up? Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow, he’s carrying a gun legally.

Wow. This is just one of the mill stuff happening to regular Americans in their neighborhoods right now because of ICE. And again, I have to remind people we’re all against illegal immigration. It turns out that they could close the border at the flip of a switch. Turned out they didn’t need to build a wall. So that was all propaganda to get people riled up. You didn’t need to build a wall because Trump stopped the illegal immigration at the border like that. But now they’re terrorizing American cities and regular Americans. ICE agents in Minneapolis violently detained, threatened and arrested a US citizen.

For one reason only, he refused to prove his citizenship. You don’t have to. If a cop comes up to you and says, I need to see your ID, you don’t need to. They don’t get, they’re not the boss of you. And this isn’t Nazi Germany. You don’t have to show your papers.

They can only ask for your ID if they think that you’ve committed a crime and they have a reasonable, articulable suspicion of a crime. So this happened in this video. Agents immediately escalate to physical force immediately. A man stands with his hands up repeatedly saying, I’m not doing anything. While agents shove him, force him to his car and begin an illegal search. No crime, no warrant, no probable cause. Moments later, the agent admits the truth saying, all we needed was your ID. Openly acknowledging this was an unlawful detention based solely on a refusal to produce identification.

That’s not legal. So that’s why here it is. Let’s watch.

ICE Agent 1:
It’s on the car.

Citizen:
But that’s gonna last it. I’m not on. Get the gun. Get the car. That’s going to stop. Oh, maybe you’re gonna get changed. You move and you’re gonna get changed. I’m not gonna be an idiot.

I’m not moving.

ICE Agent 1:
You want to be a girl. You’re a bitch. And you’re gonna learn the hard way.

Citizen:
I didn’t know Joe Pesci was an ICE, but apparently. So they find a gun. He’s got a gun.

ICE Agent 1:
I’m such a different idea. I don’t give a fuck what you asked me for, bitch. Shut up. You shut up, bitch. Shut up. What’s wrong with you? What’s wrong with you? He has a gun on him. Look at that. A fully registered firearm.

Fully registered. It’s not like you asked anything. What’s wrong with you?

Citizen:
Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow, he’s carrying a gun legally. Wow.

ICE Agent 1:
Where is this?

Citizen:
Is in Minneapolis.

ICE Agent 1:
You’re gonna fuck about it. Think about that. What’s that? What’s that? Is that right? Is that a scar? You just a fucking smoke.

Citizen:
They’re gonna have to do the same. You just a fucking fucking thing. I’m a little like a fucking pro. That was some real fucking scumbags.

ICE Agent 1:
I was scumbag? You just actin’ like a fucking scumbag. You’re a fucking US citizen.

Citizen:
You shouldn’t have done that. What made you get into this fucking profession? Why are you so mad at immigrants? Nobody’s got any.

What did they do to you? So, the government is gonna be inundated with lawsuits. Cause every one of these is an illegal arrest. And who’s gonna end up paying for this? And who’s gonna pay for it?

You, of course. That’s 100% illegal what they just did. They’re violating everyone’s constitutional rights. That’s why they’re gonna give you extra central digital currency once they collapse the dollar. Yeah, and they’re gonna want Donald Trump wants real ID. He wants you to have a digital currency so they can debank you.

Here we go. What did I do that was illegal? So, he’s asking the guy, what did I do that was illegal? I didn’t reach for anything. I reached for my whistle. So, now they’re trying to say he reached for something. I don’t know if you can hear him, but he goes, you’re reaching for something. He goes, I didn’t reach for anything.

I was reaching for my whistle. I’m fucking rich with child molesters.

ICE Agent 1:
Child molesters?

Jimmy Dore:
Yeah. Who hears the child molesters? So, the ICE is like, you know, so the insults that that guy is hurling at them are obviously bothering them. And the guy says, I’ve spent my day arresting child molesters. The guy goes, I’m not a child. I’m a U.S. citizen.

Now you’re just arresting U.S. citizens.

Citizen:
What do you want to say? You’re not a child molester police. You’re the immigration enforcement.

Jimmy Dore:
Yeah, you’re not a child molester police. If not carrying papers as a U.S. citizen gets you assaulted and arrested, then this isn’t law enforcement. This is a police state.

Clip (The Jimmy Dore Show: Just for walking around)

Jimmy Dore:
Here’s another day, another video of ICE agents illegally harassing U.S. citizens for proof of citizenship while she walks through her own neighborhood in Minneapolis. In the video, a woman is surrounded by masked ICE agents. One agent tells her, do you have an ID?

Okay, let’s listen.

ICE Agent 2:
Do you have an ID on you, ma’am?

Woman:
I don’t need an ID to walk around in my city.

This is my city.

ICE Agent 2:
Okay, do you have some ID then, please?

Woman:
I don’t need any ID.

ICE Agent 2:
If not, we’re going to put you in the vehicle and we’re going to ID you.

Jimmy Dore:
What? I showed you in the other video how easy it is for you to get hired as an ICE agent and they give you a $50,000 bonus. You don’t have to have any qualifications whatsoever. They do no background check. They give you no training and that’s why they’re out there violating your constitutional rights left and right, not only gun holders, but just regular Americans. If you don’t allow a cop, an ICE agent, to violate your Fourth Amendment right, they’re going to arrest you.

That’s what he just said. If you don’t give me your ID, just for walking around your neighborhood. If you don’t give me your ID, I’m going to put you in the car and arrest you and then we’re going to ID you. Okay, I can’t think of anything more terrifying than being accosted on the street as a woman. As a woman, guys in masks.

That all. And how do you even know that they’re ICE? Why do I think that? Why would I say that they’re reputable? Right.

Why do I even know that? And I have no recourse whatsoever. That’s terrifying.

I agree.

Woman:
I’m not going to take out an ID.

ICE Agent 2:
You don’t have an ID?

Woman:
I’m not going to take out an ID. I am US citizen. I am US citizen.

ICE Agent 2:
All right. Can we see an ID please?

Woman:
I am US citizen. I don’t need to carry around an ID in my home.

ICE Agent 2:
Well, where were you born?

Woman:
This is my home.

ICE Agent 2:
Doesn’t matter. Minneapolis is my home.

Woman:
Ma’am, we’re doing an immigration check. We’re doing a citizen check. This is where? And we’re asking you where you were born.

Jimmy Dore:
An immigration check.

I’ve never heard of this shit.

Woman:
This is my home.

Jimmy Dore:
We’re doing a citizen check. Again, that’s against the Constitution.

This is like stop and frisk, which a lot of morons supported, by the way. That’s right. And you can belong here, but where were you born?

Woman:
I am not going to give you an ID.

ICE Agent 2:
Then we’re going to put you in the vehicle.

Woman:
I belong here. I belong here. I should be walking around here. I shouldn’t be afraid in my life at this point.

ICE Agent 2:
Ma’am, do you have an ID to give us?

Woman:
Yes, you’re correct. You’re making me scared? You’re making me a jacket?

ICE Agent 2:
Do you have an ID?

Woman:
This is my home.

ICE Agent 2:
Ma’am, where were you born?

Woman:
I am US citizen. I’m going to tell you where I’m born.

I am US citizen. I don’t think so. You have a right to picture me while I am in my home and walking around in my home. This is not acceptable.

You guys, you’re terrorizing people.

ICE Agent 2:
Ma’am, where were you born?

Woman:
It doesn’t matter where I was born. I belong here. I am US citizen.

What else can I say? I am citizen. This is my home. You realize that if you are a US citizen, then you can get a federal charge.

Woman:
I belong here.

Jimmy Dore:
I’m sorry. By the way, they’re blocking traffic in a neighborhood and that’s why people are honking their horns. Let’s watch now as some people actually stand up to ICE. Well, that lady did.

Good for her. Then they walked away. Watch this.

Citizen Speaker 2:
Get out the car.

Driver:
No, for what?

Citizen Speaker 2:
You fall off the camera. I’ll work around here. I’ll work around here.

ICE Agent 3:
Shut the fuck up, bitch. White boy.

Citizen Speaker 2:
Record it. Record it. Record it, please. Record my plate.

Record my plate. You walk up on me or did you? No, you walked up on me and pulled my dude.

Did you hear this? You walk up on me, you’re about to… So this guy works in the neighborhood and they just stop his car in the middle of the street and they surround him and start harassing him and they’re all wearing masks. How do you know who the hell they are?

You don’t.

Driver:
You walked up on me. You walked up on me.

You walked up on me. I’ll work around here. I’ll work for the sir.

Dude, this is my property, I’ll work around here. I’ll drive all around here. I’ll do it everyday. I’ll drive around here.

Everyday you can record everything. I’ll work around here.

ICE Agent 3:
Sir, listen, I’ll work around here. I’m not talking out. I’ll talk to you because you’re more calm. Nobody’s an어 royệ!!

I would talk to you because you’re more calm and this guy starts screaming at the top of the saying, the warning! We can do whatever we want! We’re in America!

Citizen Speaker 2:
That’s right. I’m recording you! You’re blocking the street, you stupid bitch!

Okay, watch. You’re gonna be on social media, your car’s gonna be everywhere. You better switch it up! You better switch it up!

Jimmy Dore:
So that’s what they’re, so they’re in there antagonizing citizens.

Citizen Speaker 2:
Don’t you bet! Go ahead and try it!

Go ahead!

Jimmy Dore:
I mean, these are, honestly, these are people who wouldn’t get hired as a bouncer at a bar. That’s who these people are. That’s who Trump is hiring now.

You’re listening to Just Right, broadcasting around the world and online.

Bob Metz:
And once again, I think that Jimmy Dore completely missed the mark on this one. He let himself get completely distracted by non-relevant factors. Like the fact that the person arrested was carrying a legal gun, but that had nothing to do with his being detained.

And Dore’s political bias stuck out like a sore thumb. While praising Trump for closing the border, he chastised Trump for taking action against those who already were illegally allowed into the country. I’m opposed to illegal immigration, he assures us. And then he says, ICE agents recently arrested an American citizen for one reason only. He refused to reveal his citizenship. Well, that’s not what I saw and heard in that exchange.

Citizenship was not mentioned. He just wanted to see his ID, because the guy was following him around and reached for something. In this video, agents immediately escalate to physical force, immediately, insists Dore. Well, yes, of course, in this video, the agents would be seen to immediately escalate to physical force, because that’s where the video was edited to begin.

What might be more interesting is to see the five or ten minutes before the violence immediately escalated. And then, you were reaching for something, I didn’t reach for anything, I reached for my whistle. Well, since when is a whistle a nothing? So he did reach for something, a whistle. And he’s implying that the ICE agent, what, might have thought it was a gun? And by the way, using that whistle in the manner in which it was being used as a weapon was also an act of violence.

And then the guy playing the victim screams at the ICE agent, you’re a scumbag. What made you get into this profession? Why are you so mad at immigrants?

What did they do to you? And there is his admission of a political agenda, since when are any officers of the law ever assumed to have some personal agenda against the people they’ve been hired and paid to arrest or detain? When Jimmy Dore dismissed the legitimacy of ICE agents on the grounds that they’re not the child molester police, that was about the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever heard him say. If not people like them, then who? I mean, the child molester police? I mean, what’s next, the jaywalking police? And with respect to the woman just walking around in her neighborhood, on the surface, what we heard could be interpreted as perhaps an overreach of his authority on the part of the ICE agent. But in continually insisting that she was an American citizen, and on those grounds arguing that the officer had no right to detain her, I thought she doth protest too much. And when the officer informed her that you realize that if you lie that you’re a U.S. citizen, then you can be subject to federal charges.

Well, that all but explained the woman’s demeanor. So under such circumstances, how could any police officer under any jurisdiction at any time or under any authority possibly enforce any illegal immigration if all anybody has to say is, I’m a citizen and we have to take their word for it? You see the problem?

And the inherent contradiction? When so-called regular citizens find themselves in an area where there is an act of police action going on, they are in what you might call a war zone, within which it is essential to the enforcement officers to know who is in their proximity and why, when they’re obviously being followed and stalked by some of these average citizens. I can stand where I want, they quite correctly assert, but doing what you want when it affects others is not a fundamental right, contrary to the assertion of the screaming woman. Harassment and stalking, particularly when accompanied by self-announced political intentions, seems to me to be plenty of just cause to ask such people for ID. When I’m pulled over on the highway by a police officer and he asks me for my driver’s license, do I just get to say, oh, I have one officer, but I’m not going to show it to you, see you later?

Right. Or if you’re in the immediate vicinity of a crime, even if you don’t know what’s going on, and say for example, police are trying to track down an offender in the area, would it not seem reasonable that in the carrying out of their duties, they would have some kind of right to determine your identity? It seems to me that if law-abiding citizens want to live in a society where the law is upheld to make a law-abiding society possible, surely they owe some level of cooperation with police, like when the police knocked on my door at 2am, which I’ve talked about on the show before, with weapons at the ready and a bulletproof shield raised, and I was asked my name and birth date, which upon my providing said information right away, they duly left. But what if I had said in some libertarian stupor, I’m a citizen, and I don’t have to answer your questions in my own home, and then slam the door?

How well do you suppose that might have gone over? You know, I think I might have heard them shout something like, stand back from the door. And finally, to respond to Jimmy Dore’s very valid concern about how do you know the people in the masks are real? Well, in the immediacy of such a situation, there’s only one way to assess whether or not they are ICE agents or just masked criminals out to kill and rob you, and the answer lies in the very statement I just uttered.

If they’re masked criminals, they’ll try to extort, rob or kill you, and if they’re ICE agents, they’ll probably be asking you for ID, and to the extent that you peacefully comply, there will be no threat to your person or property. But playing stupid and pretending that this is not the case brings us to the issue of stupidity itself. On this side of our upcoming bumper, Marina Karlova, whose podcast I would highly recommend, offers her analysis of the nature of stupidity with a perspective that’s a little different from that taken on our own past shows on the subject, but which yet remains completely consistent with those previous interpretations.

And on the return side of the bumper, Steven Crowder confirms Karlova’s analysis in his own hauntingly parallel analysis applied to the ICE crisis.

Clip (Marina Karlova Podcast: Stupidity is a lack of freedom)

Marina Karlova:
Stupidity isn’t just foolishness, it’s the absence of access to alternative fields. It’s thoughts that doesn’t think, because it operates within the permissible.

In this sense, stupid isn’t an insult, but a technical description of a state where someone reproduces a template without tools to analyze it. The system cultivates stupidity because alive thinking threatens its stability. An alive mind questions, exposes contradictions, dismantles certainties.

Stupidity is safe, it repeats, justifies, defends. It can be polite, confident, even charming, but it doesn’t see and doesn’t want to. Because seeing means stepping beyond, and stepping beyond brings anxiety.

Anxiety is a sign of aliveness, which the system seeks to minimize. In conditions where thinking isn’t suppressed, stupidity is impossible. A mind unsevered from intuition and meaning unfolds naturally. Stupidity emerges where reaction precedes thought, where why is replaced by that’s how it’s done.

It’s not a glitch, but an outcome, bred by upbringing, normalization and relentless repetition that trains you not to notice what’s being repeated. Thus, stupidity doesn’t reflect a personal flaw. It reflects a form of deep adaptation. People fully embedded in the system don’t see absurdities because their filters block inconsistencies. If someone can’t grasp the obvious, it’s not because they’re weak or lazy, it’s because their aliveness was deactivated. They were taught to ignore signals, disable doubt and take an imposed construct as reality. One of the cruelest distortions is that intelligent people are trained to adapt to stupidity. They’re trained to accommodate stupidity instead of challenging it.

Appease it, shrink themselves to avoid offending the norm. They’re taught to mask their clarity, dilute their insight and pretend they don’t see what they see. The result is a chronic state of dissonance. You know something’s wrong, but you’re not allowed to say it.

You feel the glitch, but have to act like everything is fine. This fracture between internal reality and external demands produces anxiety, depression and burnout. There’s nothing wrong with you. You’ve just been forced to perform sanity within an insane structure. Stupidity is dangerous not just as an effect, but as a carrier. The system normalizes stupidity because it requires a stable circuit where thinking cannot occur. It doesn’t value stupidity, it simply fears what alive thoughts might unleash. Once stupidity becomes habitual, it acts as an active filter. It doesn’t merely ignore meaning, it actively suppresses it in others. A stupid person functions not only as a victim, but as a retransmitter. They fail to notice absurdity and instead actively defend it because their identity is fused within the template. They avoid questions and go further, shutting down those who ask them.

This is the real danger. Stupidity becomes a self-reproducing structure where doubt has no place. And so the smartest people get caught because intelligence without autonomy becomes a high-performance slave.

The more intelligent you are within the system, the better you are at optimizing its logic, perfecting its outputs, justifying its architecture. And that’s exactly how intelligence dies, through integration, not ignorance. The system doesn’t kill intelligence, it harnesses it, it rewires it into compliance. It trains minds to calculate but not question, to articulate but not rebel. A smart person in a stupid paradigm is not a rebel by default.

They often become the most efficient enforcers. So stupidity won’t look like the lack of intellect. It will look like consensus, like politeness, like high-functioning, well-dressed, data-driven normality. It will sit in conferences and design tools of surveillance. It will speak of values while automating obedience.

It will declare progress while exterminating awareness. And when someone dares to think outside that schema, they will be called irrational, extreme, unstable, pathologized, ridiculed, dismissed as psychotic or dangerous. They aren’t seen as wrong.

They are seen as dangerous precisely because they remain alive in a structure that treats aliveness as a threat. The system doesn’t engage with them. It diagnoses them. It gaslights them into silence, making them doubt their own perception, their own clarity. They are taught to see their awakening not as truth but as madness. And that’s how dissent is neutralized.

The system doesn’t argue. It labels. It sidesteps dialogue and resorts to psychiatric branding to silence clarity.

But you’re not alone. There are millions like you silently choking on the same unspoken truths, each thinking they’re the only one who sees it, each trained to stay quiet to avoid being labeled.

Clip (Crowder Bits: Steven Crowder)

Steven Crowder:
What are these people? Ask yourself something right now when we’re seeing these protests with ICE, these riots, these violent agitators.

Why? Why are these people doing it? What do they hope to gain?

So let’s go through that. What do they hope to gain? The end game is what? No deportations. Okay? I disagree with that. Then, even if you agree with what they think they stand to gain, are the consequences worth it? Are you willing to be pepper sprayed? Are you willing to be blinded? Are you willing to be shot?

Are you willing to have a permanent criminal record for, in Minneapolis, a group of people who’ve defrauded you and stolen money from your children as we’ve seen with Somalians in Minnesota? It’s really hard for me to see a logical case for this. It really is.

And I’ve heard people say that we are actually the evil regime who need to be replaced, not Iran, not Venezuela, and I think that’s asinine. That’s my opinion. I’ll make the case for it.

Well, here’s one person who actually, I guess, didn’t take the time to ask those questions, and this is how it ended up for him, his prize.

Interviewer:
Well, can you tell us about your injuries now and the prognosis? Will you be blind in that eye for life?

Injured Protester:
From what I’ve heard the doctors say, and everyone else, yes, I will be blind for life. And no one wants that. My globe was ruptured.

Steven Crowder:
But we don’t want you assaulting officers. Here’s just some context. People say, oh, it’s just one of their just going out assaulting people.

Again, I repeat, if the case existed of people simply going about their business, not impeding the officers, getting the crap kicked out of them, getting pepper sprayed, you would know it. There has not been an example of that yet. There have been judgment calls. There have been gray areas. But what you have been told is taking place, especially when they have people like these who they trot out as heroes, you always. And I mean this, 100% of the time, find out that it’s not the bill of goods that you were sold.

Here is what happened, and here is what happens when you disobey lawful orders, especially in the middle of a melee and charge officers who are currently having their eardrums pierced by blaring bull horns from your friends. It’s sad, but I mean, you know, come on, guys. Like, come on.

Really? Do we need to explain this? I think we all understand.

Come on. You don’t have the right to blare bull horns. People will make a, you’re in the middle of, the guy has a helmet on. He just sees someone running in with an object in his hands at that point.

You can’t hear. He didn’t follow up with it. It was clearly one shot. Oh, threat. Again, he wasn’t aiming for the eye.

He was stopping the threat. Don’t do these things. And I assure you that you will be perfectly safe.

You will be perfectly safe. If officers are carrying out their duties and you don’t get involved. You could have called him a Nazi from 20 feet away.

Yeah. He could have. He would have heard you. He would have heard you. You wouldn’t even need the bull horn. You wouldn’t. But frankly, you could have done it loudly.

But here’s why these people do it. Again, sticks and stones might break my bones. No, but words inspire people to incredible violence and to completely illogical acts. That’s why we saw Charlie Kirk killed. People believed the words that Charlie Kirk was a Nazi. I met people who actually believed that Charlie Kirk wanted to imprison black people and rob them of the right to vote. People believed that. And if you believe that, you are going to act within that reality.

And a lot of these people in this city believe their mayor who has been inciting far more violence many more times than peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard and fight like hell.

Mayor Jacob Frey (clip):
And I have a message for ICE. To ICE, get this shit out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here.

Steven Crowder:
Also, think about what he’s saying there. We do not want you here. Well, the country elected Donald Trump.

The country supported deportations. So if you were saying, we have decided, you are saying we have decided that we are going to carry out an insurrection. That’s what you are saying.

That’s what you were saying when you are going against the will of the American people. I mean, let me ask you guys this. Where do you think this ends with Minneapolis? How do you think this? Do you think it just fizzles out?

Do you think there’s a crescendo? I think they got to make a deal with the federal government. I’ll make the argument here.

I don’t think that Minnesota right now is a part of the United States. What do I mean? How many genders are there?

Officially two. They’re a sanctuary state for transitioning youth and hiding them from their parents. That goes against federal law. They’re a sanctuary state for housing illegal aliens and preventing federal officers from enforcing them. They won’t allow federal enforcers into the prisons to take violent offenders who have no business being here. They are flagrantly disregarding national law on a multitude of levels. Insurrection Act. Yeah, Trump administration. If anyone is watching right now, it doesn’t mean martial law doesn’t mean taking over the state. It is specifically for a place like Minnesota that has decided they are not going to align themselves with America. They are going to oppose it. It is an enemy within right now.

Yes.

Bob Metz:
And certainly when you take into account the comments of Tim Walz as featured by Megyn Kelly as the most inflammatory rhetoric since the Civil War, well, America does indeed have an enemy within right now. And so when Steven Crowder explained why these people do it, that words inspire people to do incredible violence and to completely illogical acts, because people believe the BS, he was essentially echoing the argument of Marina Karlova, who warned that it’s not a glitch but an outcome bred by upbringing, normalization, and relentless repetition that trains you not to notice. And when Harrison Smith highlighted the lefty, who said that we met a president of the university, he was really stupid. He let us walk all over him. Well, Smith concluded that the most telling thing about that was that the university president was an idiot. He thought he was being reasonable.

And what did Marina Karlova say on that theme? Stupidity will not look like a lack of intellect. It will look like consensus, politeness. One cannot help but recall the concept of mass formation as put forward by Dr. Matthias Desmet or the mass psychology of fascism as Wilhelm Reich put it, as another element of the whole anti-ICE movement. In fact, in our November 18, 2021 episode, where we took a look at mass formation, here’s what our blog post said in part: “A lot of effort might be wasted in an attempt to bring reason, evidence, and clarity to a significant percentage of people utterly unwilling or incapable of processing the information. In their hypnotic state of denial, they are literally incapable of seeing the tyranny before their very eyes. Even worse, many who attempt to awaken this group blame themselves for their failure to do so, concluding that nothing can be done. Dr. Matthias Desmet, who specializes in mechanisms of mass formation and totalitarian thinking, estimated that the unreachable hypnotized group comprises around 30% of the population. Another 40% he suggested are capable of seeing, but are afraid to speak out, thus making themselves part of the majority 70% who end up supporting fascist measures. This is the group that, if effectively persuaded, can turn a tyrannical majority into a majority for freedom. That leaves it up to the remaining 30% who can clearly see the tyranny to lead the fight for freedom. But how?

As one courageous voice for freedom recently put it, we can’t wake the sheep, we must wake the lions.” Well, how does one wake those sleeping lions? David Freiheit and Robert Barnes suggested that Trump’s ICE agenda needed to have better optics, such as heard in this brief exchange on January 18th. Let me play this one.

Clip (vivafrei: ICE optics – David Freiheit and Robert Barnes)

David Freiheit:
This is what the optics of ICE should be. I’m going to play it. I’m not, I’m going to shut my big mouth. This is, you know, you need more of these gentlemen. That would be nice if you didn’t have the face mask, but listen to this explanation. And if you saw more of this, at least out in the snow, so you kind of understand that kind of cold conditions.

True. So here’s your morning.

ICE Officer (in clip):
We’re here to arrest a child sex offender. And you guys are out here honking. Oh, no, we’re protesting. That vehicle right there is honking and impeding our investigations, while we’re trying to arrest a child sex offender. That’s who you guys are protecting.

Insane.

David Freiheit:
Now, this is, this is what you need by way of optics. They need to manage more optics like that.

Bob Metz:
Now, for me, the frustrating thing about David Freiheit and Robert Barnes calling for better optics, by having the ICE agents make more statements like the one we just heard, is that that process is already well underway.

Not only have Trump’s own spokespersons been making this clear, but the ICE agents under attack in the Jimmy Dore compilation were making that very argument, to which the likes of Dore responded, oh, you’re not the child molester police. Well, that was an utterly stupid response. You know, I’m reminded of the saying, when persuasion fails, just use force.

If ever there was a justified time to do this, it’s when those you are attempting to persuade are literally incapable of being persuaded about anything, because they’re too stupid. And although you can argue that calling someone stupid is an insult, because it is. It’s far less an insult than it is a description of the left’s state of mindlessness. Remember, they’re not in their right mind, but in their left mind, which is a mind that has been left behind. Maybe they should start smoking some more pot. A bizarre thought I’ll leave you to consider as we head into our closing audio bite, and after our invitation to have you join us again next week, when we will continue our journey in the right direction, and until then, be right, stay right, do right, act right, think right, and be right back here.

We’ll see you then.

Clip (Ben Bankas Stand-up: When liberals smoked weed)

Ben Bankas:
Remember when liberals used to just smoke weed? You know, now they don’t. I don’t even think liberals smoke weed, man.

Right? Like, if fucking weed could have saved René Good’s life. If she just took a bong-toke before that excursion, she would have just fucking, yeah, I don’t know if we should go. This seems insane. So we’re gonna drive and stop ICE with my 2014 Honda Pilot.

I don’t know if I can do this shit. But liberals, like, only a Republican can take a 500 milligram edible, and stay in their house and go, no, everything I believe is right. That’s why Democrats don’t smoke weed anymore. They’re afraid they’re gonna take two hits and be like, okay, Trump did a couple good things. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Democrats try to make weed illegal once they find out, because when they made weed legal, they thought it would make everybody, you know, gay and trans. But instead, everybody got high and like, we have a real immigration problem.
