Left-Right
The recent arrest of former CNN news anchor Don Lemon has unleashed a flurry of controversy about issues ranging from illegal immigration to free speech.

Charged with two felonies, (1) conspiracy against the right of religious freedom in a place of worship, and (2) violating the FACE Act (Freedom of Access to Clinics Entrances Act), Lemon’s role in storming Cities Church in Saint Paul Minnesota on January 18 has itself been among the many controversies surrounding the event.

Arguing that “It’s traumatic for the people here, but that’s what protesting is all about,” Lemon accused the victims of his ‘protest’ of being “entitled Christians” whose “entitlement comes from a white supremacy.”

What any of this had to do with the protest against the arrest and deportation of illegal aliens by ICE agents is anybody’s guess, but Lemon made it abundantly clear that he himself is an avowed racist who hides behind his “black and gay” identity politics to avoid responsibility for his role in the event. Not as a journalist, but as a participant.

In any effort to identify the motivation behind the violent protests in Minnesota, it soon becomes clear that concern for ‘immigrants’ is the last thing on the minds of the protesters.

What’s at stake is the survival of the Left in American politics. And of course, Trump Derangement Syndrome plays a major role, given that past American presidents have similarly invoked ICE agents to deport millions of illegal aliens without protest and with the full support of the Left.

Lemon’s arrest has fueled the Left’s outrage against Trump’s “attack on journalistic liberty,” an outrage that was never expressed when a myriad of journalists on the Right were arbitrarily arrested for reporting events from the January 6 Washington DC protests, or for publishing reports about verifiable proof of election fraud.

Predictably, the Left-Right polarization of America is being portrayed as a divisive force that will “cost the stability of the nation,” as it was phrased by Israeli entrepreneur and investor Shlomo Kramer. Known for co-founding several cybersecurity companies, Kramer recently called for “limiting the First Amendment in order to protect it,” a glaring contradiction no matter how you look at it.

Calling for a “single narrative” and for the restriction of “multiple narratives,” Kramer argued that this would prevent “the polarization of society and infighting” and thereby preserve the “stability of the nation.”

Of course, this is an utterly false and demonstrably disprovable assertion. When so-called infighting and polarization (otherwise known as disagreement) are openly allowed, such societies invariably become more stable, more civilized and certainly less racist and divisive.

Indeed, polarization is a necessary process allowing people to distinguish one thing from the other, or in other words, to distinguish the Left from the Right. Preventing such polarization has always been an objective of those on the Left, whose sinister ideologies can better be hidden in the absence of a clear distinction from the Right. And so far, too many on the Right have been letting the Left get away with it, even going so far as to see polarization as an evil themselves.

However, understood in a light that is Just Right, identifying with the political labels of Left or Right remains the best means by which large masses of people can properly identify one another in order to unite under common principles.
