937 – No Canada? —an unconventional view

In December 2024, a documentary film entitled ‘Canada the Illusion’ was released on multiple on-line platforms with a descriptive: “This film is entirely based on facts and not on opinions.” Produced by Timm Stein in collaboration with Xander La Rue, Doug Force, and The Myth is Canada, the documentary delivers a painfully detailed legal and political history of how the nation known as Canada came into being. And then ceased to be.

Citing the Statute of Westminster (December 11, 1931) as the most important document defining the land mass known as Canada, the documentary concludes that from that point forward, the nation of Canada ceased to exist as a sovereign entity. The provinces, because they owned the land, became sovereign states unto themselves. Consequently, every piece of federal legislation passed after December 11, 1931 is invalid and lacks any authority to enforce it.

As implausible as this sounds (as it also did to the documentary’s producers), there appears to be no way to dispute this conclusion based on Canada’s legal and political history, documented at every step of the way. So how could it be that a nation called ‘Canada’ has carried on as such irrespective of its history and relevant laws? Continue reading »

936 – Why Canada sucks—from tariffs to racism

In response to a political ad produced and distributed at a cost of $75 million by Ontario premier Doug Ford’s government, US president Donald Trump terminated all trade negotiations with the entire nation of Canada.

The ad, featuring former president Ronald Reagan speaking on the subject of tariffs (on April 25, 1987) was edited in such a way as to completely distort and misrepresent Reagan’s original comments in full context. It was an attempt by the Ford government to imply that Reagan and Trump held opposite views on tariffs and free trade, when in fact their stated views were identical.

Worse, as Trump observed, the release of the fraudulent ads occurred in conjunction with pending US supreme court decisions regarding a president’s authority to impose tariffs. This was the very issue originally addressed by Reagan when he gave his speech.

Why a provincial politician like Doug Ford would interfere in American politics is a question no doubt being considered by the Trump administration. Ford faces no immediate election prospects himself, though his government is planning to abandon the idea of fixed election periods altogether. Continue reading »

935 – There’s no time like the future

As strange as it may seem, there are many cultures whose concept of ‘time’ literally do not include any recognition of a ‘future.’ While this may seem an innocuous and harmless notion, unfortunately it may be symptomatic of a dark cultural malaise.

Sounding an alarm about the danger this presents to Western culture, UK podcaster Connor Tomlinson recently warned that “we don’t understand how Africa thinks” and that “we don’t understand how the third world thinks.” In two separate presentations warning about the risks and dangers of immigration by people who fail to conceptualize any concept of a ‘future,’ his insights and analysis certainly do explain many behaviors and attitudes about such immigrants not previously understood.

Citing the African concepts of Sasa (Sasha) and Zamani as the two dimensions of time, he concludes that “we can’t have a civilization if people don’t think the future exists.”

Sasa is described by African philosophers as the “now, the recent past and the immediate future which can be experienced.” Zamani is the “vast endless past where all events eventually go on to live forever, but the ‘future’ in African thought barely exists.” Continue reading »

Identity politics has become a parody of itself, to the point where it has become a multicultural monoculture of irrationality based on collectivist anti-concepts.

The most obvious evidence of identity politics is the rise of racism, and because the racist Left has falsely trumpeted that label so loudly and for so long, it has not only lost its meaning, but has become increasingly dismissed by most people not on the Left.

This itself presents a danger because actual racism does exist; to simply dismiss the term entirely risks failing to see racism when it is practiced.

As Ayn Rand observed so many years ago: “Today, racism is regarded as a crime if practiced by a majority – but as an inalienable right if practiced by a minority. Continue reading »

933 – Eye witness—to a bloodless assassination?

“Don’t believe your own lying eyes,” has been a common response to visual ‘evidence’ used to create a narrative that simply doesn’t make sense. If ever there was a test of this bromide, it is the growing number of speculative accounts and ‘conspiracy theories’ surrounding the Charlie Kirk assassination.

Currently, the most alarming observation to surface is the reported lack of blood at the crime scene, something quite inconsistent with the visuals of blood seen streaming profusely from the neck of Charlie Kirk at the moment of his being shot. This has been observed and commented on by a variety of very different bloggers and podcasters, each with his/her own unique perspective and interpretation of what is being witnessed.

In this age of eye witness accounts, one must be extraordinarily cautious about what is accepted as the truth; discernment is the rule.

Given that revelations of past assassinations in American history continue to be released decades following the events themselves, it shouldn’t be surprising that the Kirk assassination has been viewed with a skepticism drawn from a deep distrust of those providing the official narratives.

Perhaps the most frustrating conclusion to draw from all of this is that when it comes to establishing an assassination narrative about Charlie Kirk that is Just Right, we might have to wait another six or more decades before something resembling the ‘truth’ surfaces.

932 – Losers Lefting it—by just winging it

Oct 012025

One reason that the political polarity remains unseen by so many is because when it comes to Left and Right, most people are just winging it.

In fact, they have been ‘winging’ it for so long that they are at last coming to realize that each political wing is not so different from the other. U.S. General Michael Flynn has called on Americans to stop playing “this political two-party game” which, of course, was a sarcastic reference to what has been called a ‘Uniparty.’

But the only way to stop playing the ‘Uniparty’ game is to stop ‘winging it’ in the political arena. What is required is a two party polarity, not party wings. That’s because Left ‘wing’ and Right ‘wing’ are not so different from each other. Instead of representing individual rights and justice, each ‘wing’ represents a different interest group.

Traditionally, Left-wing groups restrict economic choices, limit trade and monopolize labor, while Right-wing groups restrict personal choices, control trade, and monopolize business. Those who claim to be ‘middle-of-the-road’ simply do both, and the ‘road’ all of them are on leads directly to the polarity of the Left. Continue reading »

The Left is in a frenzy trying to associate the assassination of Charlie Kirk with the Right, an impossibility given the evidence. But facts and evidence have never mattered to those on the Left.

Finding himself in the middle of the frenzy, late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel was briefly suspended by ABC due to his political commentary (masquerading as comedy) claiming that Kirk was assassinated by the MAGA Right. Unfortunately for Kimmel, there was no evidence to justify this and a mountain of confirmed evidence pointing to the Left.

Attempting to portray the Left as the side against violence, many are now trying to talk ‘unity’ and walk back some of the hateful Leftist reactions to Kirk’s assassination, including Barack Hussein Obama.

In his recent fake condemnation of those who support the violence, he announced: “Let the record say that on both sides undoubtedly there are people who are extremists and who say things that are contrary to what I believe are America’s core values.” Continue reading »

Last week’s assassination of Charlie Kirk sent a shock wave across the world that exposed the political polarities of Left and Right on a scale never before experienced.

An American political activist on the Right, Kirk founded the conservative organization Turning Point USA and was its executive director until his untimely demise on the Utah Valley University campus on September 10.

While the tragedy of Charlie Kirk’s murder is its own horror story, a greater horror story has been the reaction of those on the Left who have celebrated his murder with calls for even more murders, including those of Kirk’s wife and children.

This has presented those on the Right with a moral dilemma: how to oppose the Left without having to resort to violence. Unlike the Right, the Left does not honor the ballot box; it worships the bullet. Continue reading »

If calling anti-capitalists lazy envious losers sounds a bit harsh, the reality is that these descriptions are nowhere near harsh enough.

You have to hear it for yourself to understand why, and thanks to Patrick Bet-David’s August 31 Jubilee production, “One Capitalist versus 20 Anti-Capitalists,” you can. It has stirred a storm of controversy by exposing what anti-capitalists think and say – in their own words – that make them often sound as if they have yet to emerge from the womb.

“It’s such a horrible dystopian world to live in if someone has to work just to survive,” emotionally protested one participant. Another declared that “life liberty and the pursuit of happiness shouldn’t have to be earned. We just want to exist.”

Of course, the reality is that they “just want to exist” at the expense of others, who never even once are considered in their deranged ideals. In justifying their hatred of capitalism, the ‘anti-capitalists’ all shared a common fear, expressed as “either I work or I die.” Continue reading »

Given the alarming number of recent mass shootings, have we been shooting blind in our own analysis of these shooters’ motives?

In attempting to zero in on the underlying cause of these once unheard-of events, one is faced with an overwhelming array of symptoms, explanations and suggested solutions.

In addition to the mass shootings at religious functions and institutions themselves, these include: mental health disorders; gender dysphoria; anti-depressant drugs; SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors); guns and weapons; law enforcement; ‘safety’ laws and regulations; sexual dysfunctions; cognitive dysfunctions; atheism; Covid experimental gene therapies; Christianity; private property rights; the right to self defense; government disinformation and misinformation; medical malpractice and disinformation; thought disorders of faulty thinking; castle laws; state protection rackets; anarcho-tyranny; the right to bear arms.

While many of these concerns may seem unrelated, when one steps back for the ‘big picture’ view, what is particularly alarming is how so-called ‘big pharma’ in conjunction with intelligence agencies seem to have played a central role in the tragedies – in particular with regard to the use of drugs classified as SSRIs. Sad to say, the vast majority of people do not take philosophy seriously, even though they are helplessly in its grip. It is understandable that with with all of the competing ideologies and perspectives on the nature and purpose of human life, philosophy is seen by many simply as another religion without the element of deity – a subjective secular belief system.

Enter philosopher-novelist Ayn Rand, whose philosophy of Objectivism has a name that specifically refutes the subjective, and who since having arrived on America’s philosophical frontier, established a reputation unlike that of any other philosopher. She self-identified as being on the Right, which she associated with freedom and capitalism.

But there are many others who self-identify as being on the Right, who completely reject Ayn Rand’s philosophy, not because of its principles which they rarely mention, but because of its messenger.

“Ayn Rand is a modernist atheist radical individualist; what about that is conservative?” asked the Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles on his April 4 podcast during which he ranked the greatest philosophers. Continue reading »

The ridiculous fine of $28,870.50 levied against Nova Scotia resident Jeff Evely is a classic example of officialdom hard at work.

The Cambridge English Dictionary defines ‘officialdom’ as a noun referring to “the people who have a position of authority, especially in government, often when they are preventing or slowing you from doing something.”

In this case, officialdom is preventing people from taking a walk in the woods on their own property – revealing officialdom to be official dumb. Perusing a handful of on-line dictionaries, the word ‘dumb’ is described as: “lacking the power of speech; used of animals and inanimate objects; lacking intelligence or good judgment; stupid; dull-witted.”

All of these terms seem to apply to the likes of Newfoundland’s premier John Hogan and New Brunswick’s premier Tim Houston whose continually changing justifications for the draconian fines and penalties border on the insane: Continue reading »

925 – The Majority Rule: The majority is never Right

Earlier in democracy’s history, its operative principle was not considered to be ‘majority rule,’ but instead, ‘majority government.’ This expressed the idea that only those who had reached the ‘age of majority’ should be eligible to vote and participate in government. It was an age at which a person became a self-responsible adult, capable of exercising informed consent, and otherwise could be held responsible for his/ her actions.

In a free democracy, no one ‘rules’ anyone else. But in a democracy based on ‘majority rule,’ that principle no longer holds true.

The Left views ‘democracy’ as a system of ‘majority rule’ under which the winning group is given the legal authority to rule over other groups and individuals, all justified on the grounds of having achieved some kind of ‘majority.’

The Right views democracy as a system of governance in which no one can ‘vote’ to infringe upon anyone else’s right to Life Liberty and Property. Voting is restricted to matters of governance (justice, military, police, etc.) outside of the private sphere of activity. This would constitute majority government as opposed to majority rule. “Sweeney has great genes; she’s a Nazi; she’s fascist; she’s a racist; she owns a German shepherd as her dog whistle; her initials spell ‘SS’; she has white skin, blue eyes and blue jeans; American Eagle is promoting fascist propaganda, Christian nationalism and white supremacy; Sweeney is Hitler’s wet dream; cotton jeans are racist; American Eagle is reviving the Third Reich; Sweeney represents white supremacist patriarchy capitalistic beauty standards; the ads portray fascist aesthetics; the script is bigoted BS,” and much much more. In the wake of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s bombshell report regarding former U.S. President Barrack Hussein Obama’s traitorous actions against the United States of America and its citizens, there are many voices calling for some kind of serious and real accountability. But in the absence of any such accountability over past political actions that were demonstrably harmful and destructive to the lives of Americans, it is understandable that many remain skeptical about such a possibility.

But the elusiveness of achieving ‘accountability’ in government may be the consequence of deeper forces beyond any individual’s direct control. Unfortunately, in a democracy governed with the ‘consent of the governed,’ the difficulty in holding individual politicians ‘accountable’ for their political actions is an unavoidable part of the democratic process itself. After all, the usual way for politicians to be held ‘accountable’ for their political shortcomings has simply been by losing elections.

So maybe the real story here is not just about Obama’s traitorous actions, but also about how and why so many Americans – supposedly citizens of a free society – either could not see Obama’s anti-Americanism, or worse, openly supported it. So who’s really accountable?

When Obama first became president in 2008, it was glaringly clear that he was no friend of America. Calling upon Americans to “summon a new spirit of service,” his collectivist philosophy became much more explicit in his second term, when during his January 2013 inaugural speech he announced that “preserving our individual freedom requires collective action.” Continue reading »

In the wake of Elon Musk’s recent formation of a ‘third’ political party in America – the America Party – many on the Right have viewed this development as a direct threat to Donald Trump’s MAGA movement, while others view it as a potential opportunity for the MAGA movement.

Though there are many more than three political parties in America, it is interesting to note that they are all referred to as ‘third parties.’ Indeed, the very term ‘third party politics’ is both illusionary and ironic, given that it is based on an unspoken acknowledgement that such parties exist within an accepted binary framework of a two party polarity.

But given that the two party electoral option is now being recognized as a single ‘uniparty’ non-option, another controversy has arisen. Some are now arguing that political parties no longer serve a useful function at all, while others maintain that political parties are an essential part of any democratic process.

To complicate matters further, within the second group there is a further division over whether there should only be two parties in opposition to each other, or whether multiple ‘third’ parties have a place in the democratic process. Continue reading »

But the biggest surprise of all is that women have become a significant percentage of visitors to adult porn sites like PornHub, and that their arousal patterns are very different from that of men, in a way not commonly understood. Continue reading »

920 – The artificial debate about Artificial Intelligence (AI)

It’s interesting to observe how words like ‘intelligent’ and ‘smart’ are being used to describe devices that are anything but.

There is no doubt that technological advancements have produced machines and computer programs that appear to behave or respond ‘intelligently,’ and the speed with which computers can calculate, compute, and otherwise perform ‘automated’ physical functions is far more efficient than what is ‘humanly’ possible. We have come to refer to these inventions broadly as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

But efficiency alone is not a measure of intelligence. Like shovels, hammers and electrical appliances, computers are just tools. And while all tools are more efficient than direct human physical effort, tools are nevertheless an extension of human intelligence. They are labor saving devices which save effort, something no machine could ever experience.

As a tool, AI is not to be feared, but embraced as such. However, there is a great danger in equating ‘artificial’ intelligence with human intelligence or reason. Continue reading »

919 – The defining point: EVIL is LIVE spelled backwards

Jul 022025

There is a symbolic truth to the saying that ‘EVIL is LIVE spelled backwards.’ After all, the defining point of ‘evil’ concerns life itself.

But ‘evil’, like ‘good’, is an abstract concept. Being able to see and recognize evil when one encounters it often seems even more difficult than trying to define it.

The most popular form of evil is generally known by another name: socialism. That too few are able to equate socialism with evil is cause for concern, to say the least. But that so many equate socialism with the good is cause for outright alarm.

Dennis Prager of PragerU has advised that “wisdom begins with understanding that human nature is not basically good, nor evil.” In choosing socialism, most do not understand either the principles of socialism itself, nor the nature of the evil that makes socialism possible.

Thus it is essential to listen to the growing number of people who have lived and suffered under socialism now coming forward to sound the alarm. To that end we have recently featured accounts of how socialism manifested itself in countries like North Korea, Senegal, Venezuela, and Iran. As Venezuelan immigrant Daniel Di Martino describes his personal mission: “I decided to educate Americans on the horrors of socialism.”

People who have freedom tend to take it for granted. But the fragility of freedom can never be overstated. Sometimes, to see and appreciate what one has at hand, it is necessary to look beyond, to appreciate what those in other nations do not have and wish they did.

It’s called freedom and it’s found exclusively on the political polarity that’s Just Right.

917 – WOKE joke—the fallacy of the WOKE Right

Jun 182025

By inventing the term ‘WOKE Right’, author, mathematician and cultural critic James Lindsay has created a nonsensical anti-concept that has done more damage to causes on the Right than any fake news media could. Fake concepts are far more dangerous than fake news narratives.

In the intellectual confusion surrounding political concepts, it should not be surprising that many on the Right have come to both accept – and fear – being labeled ‘WOKE.’ But the joke is on them, and it was made possible by yet another political fiction called the ‘political spectrum.’

The ‘political spectrum’ was perhaps the most brilliant and effective propaganda victory that the Left ever created. Following the political maxim of ‘define or be defined,’ the Left succeeded in defining the Right as simply another variant of the Left – fascist instead of communist or socialist.

Lindsay has mischievously created the concept of WOKE Right in such a convoluted way as to make any objective understanding of either word impossible. Worse, the concept of ‘WOKE’ serves no useful purpose as an adjective. The term ‘WOKE Right’ is a contradiction. The term ‘WOKE Left’ is redundant. Continue reading »

In speaking truth to tyranny, it is necessary to expose both the immorality and historical record of socialism, its most widely recognized cause.

Despite its destructive consequences, the popularity of socialism persists, and this does not bode well for those who adopt socialism. As Senegal’s Magatte Wade illustrates, Africa’s poverty and tyranny are a direct consequence of “the deadly ideology of socialism,” an ideology also being practiced in Canada.

In fact, Canada’s recent political history provides a testimony to the tyranny caused by socialism, a tyranny not so unlike that which has been experienced in Africa.

The Freedom Convoy in 2022 provided both a literal and symbolic example of just how far from a free democracy Canada had drifted. Peacefully organized to oppose COVID-19 vaccine mandates along with all COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns, the Canadian government responded to the convoy and other protestors with force. ‘Veritas’ is the Latin word for ‘truth’ and is also the name of a Roman goddess who represents truthfulness and virtue. One individual well known for having his name associated with this word is James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas.

His expressed experience after having been ‘fired’ from his own organization reflects certain principles in common with politics, as recently illustrated by seemingly unrelated accounts of life in North Korea today and life during the fall of the Roman Empire.

In speaking truth to freedom, all of these accounts cite the reality that truth itself – veritas – is a key value and virtue upon which any free society depends. Is it any wonder then that unfree collectivist societies and globalists fear the truth more than almost anything else on the planet?

The eternal fundamental political struggle represented by the political polarities of Left and Right is that between collectivism and individualism. To the degree that a society is collectivist, its citizens have less freedom and less prosperity. To the degree that a society is individualist, both freedom and prosperity are the result. What’s so funny? What’s ‘funny’ can be something that causes us to laugh or be amused, or it can also refer to something that is peculiar, strange, or odd. That’s probably why just about all things and people have something that could be said to be ‘funny’ about them.

We live in an age when it has become difficult to satirize the actions of many of the world’s politicians and political activists. They have become so ridiculous and disconnected from reality that any such attempt is impossible to make funnier than the object of the satire already is.

So to take a break from all of the not-so-‘funny’ things going on in the world today, let’s take a look at humor in its various basic forms, from the popular appeal of simple ‘groaners,’ riddles and jokes, to the fascination with dark humor and historical events.

From the amusing to the peculiar, traditional humor still has a broad appeal for many. After all, a sense of humor is an essential part of common sense. That’s why there’s no one way to look at comedy or humor that’s Just Right, especially when it’s funny.

913 – The epistemology of God—and the debate over nothing

Whether theist or atheist, both sides of the debate usually share the same logical fallacy – the fallacy of non-existence. On that premise, science invented the ‘big bang’ theory while religion invented the ‘creation’ narrative.

At the heart of the dilemma lies the attempt to resolve a philosophical issue (the nature and fact of existence) by means other than philosophy. Neither science nor faith alone are capable of addressing such an issue.

The flaw in most of the ‘creation of the universe’ theories and beliefs is that they presume that there was once a condition of ‘non-existence’ out of which arose existence itself. It is not even possible to conceptualize a condition described as ‘non-existence’ and with good reason; any attempt to do so is contradictory.

To suggest that ‘nothing exists’ or or to refer to the ‘existence of non-existence’ is self contradictory and therefore meaningless. Yet from science to religion, we see an acceptance of the ‘existence of non existence’ as if that was some kind of valid premise on which to base any theories or beliefs. Continue reading »

“On July 4, 1821, John Quincy Adams delivered the most-remembered speech of his career. The oration’s resounding climax included several famous lines – that America ‘goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy,’ for example, and that an America that aspired to world leadership, even in the name of noble ideas, would be led astray: ‘She might become the dictatress of the world. She would be no longer the ruler of her own spirit.’ Even as American foreign policy has warped in many of the ways Adams foresaw, it has been unable to bury his powerful words.” (-from the ‘John Quincy Adams Society’ website)

It is in this light that controversial issues like America’s foreign policy, the war in Ukraine, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, globalism, a one world government, and significantly – Zionism and the neocon movement – are now being discussed. Complicating the discussion is the constant matter of definition and context.

“Narratives are built by removing history,” observes Salim Mansur, so as to “serve the interest of whoever you are advocating for.”

Not surprisingly, with the re-introduction of the relevant history into the narrative, one soon discovers that the narrative often changes radically, rarely serving the narrow interests of those promoting the original. Continue reading »

911 – The minority report—Canada’s democracy inaction

Comments Off on 911 – The minority report—Canada’s democracy inaction

On the heels of a Canadian election that both started and ended with a minority Liberal government, the term ‘democracy inaction’ takes on a new meaning.

Unfortunately, also on the heels of the Canadian election, evidence is beginning to surface that Canada’s electoral system is corrupt and that the 2025 election was rigged in numerous and subtle ways.

In a riding he held for many years, Pierre Poilievre, despite leading his Conservative Party to its best performance in decades, nevertheless lost his own seat in the riding of Carleton. And while criticizing Poilievre on campaign strategies and policies that may have hurt him is fair comment, holding him responsible for the loss of his own seat is not.

For example, Poilievre’s 2025 ballot contained 91 ‘candidates’ names and in the upcoming Alberta byelection in which he expects to regain a seat in parliament, a lobby group calling itself the ‘Longest Ballot Committee’ plans to add over 200 names to the byelection ballot. While this presents more of an inconvenience to voters than to Poilievre, the mere fact that Elections Canada permits such open and obvious manipulation of the ballot speaks to a deep systemic corruption within Canada’s entire electoral system.

Worse, the riding of Carleton, which Poilievre held for many years, was a different riding during previous elections. However, shortly before the 2025 election, Poilievre’s riding was gerrymandered to include a huge additional political jurisdiction consisting of a solid majority of Liberal voters. 909 – Canada’s Carney Crisis—manipulating the Right

Perhaps Canada’s biggest political parlor trick of all occurred with the Liberal Party’s appointment of Mark Carney as its leader going into the snap election to be held on April 28. With that move, win or lose, the Liberal Party definitely cut its losses from whatever else might have been expected under Trudeau against a growing Conservative support.

To most on the Right, Carney is seen as being utterly toxic to Canada and while this is undoubtedly true, Carney has recaptured the votes of many disillusioned-by-Trudeau Liberal supporters. Simultaneously, his ‘toxic’ presence has also succeeded in once again persuading relatively principled voters on the Right to abandon their own professed principles.

Nowhere is this better illustrated than with those struggling with the choice of voting for Pierre Poilievre (CPC) or Maxime Bernier (PPC). By voting for Bernier they believe they are ‘wasting their vote’ in the effort to counter Carney, but by voting for Poilievre, they know they are voting for the ‘lesser evil’ between the two leading electoral contenders. And that’s exactly what most do.

Why do they do this? – in order to deal with a ‘crisis’ – the one manufactured by their opponents on the Left. It’s a political parlor trick, and until those on the Right quit falling for it, our political journey will continue to be one headed Leftward, towards the tyranny so idealized by the Left. 908 – Trump’s tariff trials—verdicts pending

Will Trump’s tariff strategies to make America great again actually work, or is Trump just becoming another global protectionist? That’s been the great debate since ‘liberation day’ when the tariffs took effect.

Interestingly, it’s a debate that seems to be conducted within the ranks of those generally seen to be on the Right.

But the real debate may be the nature of the debate itself. For some, the debate over tariffs is strictly economic; for others, political. For Trump, it appears to be both.

For Trump, the use of tariffs is neither an end in itself, nor is it being done in a vacuum. Accompanied by a myriad of economic reforms and regulation reductions, perhaps the most significant positive impact on Americans will be Trump’s elimination of the income tax – an issue closely linked to tariffs and trade duties.

Unfortunately, it appears that there continue to be many long accepted myths circulating about the impact of tariffs, including an almost complete lack of knowledge about the actual history of tariffs.

Similarly, there continue to be many myths in circulation about Trump himself, particularly with regard to his economic agenda – for free trade.

Is it possible that tariffs, which by their nature impede trade, can actually be a means to establish free trade? Trump seems to think so. Whether he proves to be Just Right will be a determination for the future, after the verdicts currently pending are finally rendered.

907 – Anti-feminine isms—and the destruction of femininity

Dictionaries define ‘femininity’ as: “(1) the quality or nature of the female sex; womanliness; (2) the female form; (3) the sum of all attributes that convey (or are perceived to convey) womanhood.”

So whatever happened to femininity as a social value? Perhaps that question was already answered over a century ago. It would be difficult to believe that when British writer Arabella Kenealy published her book Feminism and Sex-Extinction in 1920, she could possibly have envisaged the 2025 dystopian reality of her predictions.

“Feminism, the extremist – and of late years the predominant cult of the Woman’s Movement, is Masculinism,” she asserted.

“It makes for such training and development in woman, of male characteristics, as shall equip her to compete with the male in every department of life; academic, athletic, professional, political, industrial. And it neither recognises nor admits in her natural aptitudes differing from those of men, and fitting her, accordingly, for different functions in these. It rejects all concessions to her womanhood; even to her mother-function. It repudiates all privileges for her. Boldly it demands a fair field only and no favour; equal rights, political and social, identical education and training, identical economic opportunities and avocations, an identical morale, personal and public.

“(The Feminist Creed) calls for the elimination of sex differences and the abolition of sex distinctions in every department of life and activity. Continue reading »
