666 – COVID-19’s ethical cancer – the morality of altruism

An end to the COVID-19 pandemic will never be found through some future means of defeating the SARS CoV-2 virus. That’s because the COVID-19 pandemic is a politically orchestrated moral pandemic, not a viral one.

Thanks to continued unnecessary lockdowns, the forced wearing of masks and social distancing rules, we now know that our politicians can force arbitrary and irrational restrictions on us without being held accountable for their actions. But worse, we also now know that there are a great many people not only willing to follow their orders without question, but who are eager to help enforce those orders against their fellow citizens.

This is beyond tragedy. At the root of this acceptance of evil lies a widely accepted belief that these actions can all be justified by altruism. “If it only saves one life, it’s all worth it.”

This is a demonstrably immoral argument. For any society this represents an ethical cancer, which just like any cancer if left unchecked eventually destroys the host body. No society can possibly survive on the irrational principle of self-sacrifice.

Nor can any number of COVID-19 ‘model projections,’ or slogans insisting that “we’re all in this together,” possibly justify the suicidal path taken by our politicians and health care officials.

Their prescriptions, all based on unethical manifestations of the Left, have been designed to defeat human nature itself. What’s required is a moral prescription that’s Just Right – one that defends human nature instead of attempting to defeat it.

650 – Omnipotent State—of emergency

US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are moving in opposite directions when it comes to ending the COVID-19 shut down.

“This will be the new normal until a vaccine is developed,” Trudeau was quoted saying in an April 11 National Post report. If so, that would mean a minimum of one to three years, given the usual best time in which a vaccine can be developed.

In contrast, Donald Trump says “I want to get it open as soon as we can; we have to get our country open.” With May 1 targeted as his primary re-opening date, Trump has also gone on record saying he would like to see parts of the country open up even sooner than that.

With COVID-19 statistics falling far short of expectations, and looking more like average or lower than average annual flu numbers, government officials in tandem with the medical profession are warning of a second or third wave, having apparently implied that we have already been through the first wave. “I call it Climate Change BS and by BS – if I have to spell it out – I mean Bad Science!” concludes our guest Dave Plumb, whose book ‘Inconveniently Screwed’ describes and explains the ‘good’ science behind what we actually do know about climate change and its causes.

In the face of continuing outrageous claims about a pending ‘climate crisis,’ the real science of climate has been replaced by the fake ‘political science’ of Leftist politicians.

Since ‘facts don’t matter’ to those on the Left, the whole climate change debate can become quite frustrating for those who think that facts do matter. The relentless efforts of the Left to continue promoting their climate fiction can only be resisted and defeated by a similar relentless effort on the part of those who have the Right ideas about climate and climate change.

As always, the real climate the Left is talking about – and wants to change – is our political climate. The only consistency to be found in their arguments about climate change is a hatred of individual freedom, capitalism, and of humanity itself. Forced discussions about carbon dioxide and weather concerns are mere distractions from their evil intentions.

With one form of BS (Bad Science) being promoted via another form of BS (Bad Schools), facts are the last thing the Left wants to hear about.

Given the Bad Science being taught in Bad Schools, it would be Just Right to conclude that the politics being used to support and promote those two forms of BS is the BS of the traditional type.

634 – The black and white truth about lying

Generally, when most people object to lying, they think about themselves being lied to – or lied about – and consider lying to be a moral indiscretion. They rarely see themselves as being the liar, nor do they consider how they might even unwittingly or unconsciously be lending credibility to a lie told, whatever its source or intent.

A ‘lie’ is defined as “an untrue statement made with the intent of deceiving; a falsehood; that which creates or is intended to produce a false impression.” (Funk & Wagnalls)

Note that the definition, per se, does not necessarily imply any form of criminal or immoral objective; it merely defines a lie as being a statement that does not represent the reality of a given situation or fact.

Even among the Ten Commandments there is none commanding that “Thou shalt not lie.” However, specific forms of lying are indeed implied in the eighth and ninth commandments, which command that “Thou shalt not steal,” and “Thou shalt not bear false witness.” Continue reading »

Audio as broadcast on WBCQ

The Left has a tactic to confuse and distract that is as old as deceit itself. To control the mind one only has to control the words.

Step by step the Left is not only redefining the discourse of society but the very way we think. Changing the term “convicted felons” to “justice-involved individuals” is just a recent example (this one from San Francisco) of how changing the words we use to describe something changes our perception of that thing.

But a rose by any other name would smell as sweet and, so too, a criminal by any other name is still a criminal regardless of the efforts of those would have us think otherwise.

space station

As the popularized phrase goes, sometimes we tend to be ‘blinded by science’ and draw conclusions that do not concur with scientific principles, or that at least, do not consider the very real risks and consequences of already known scientific principles.

This may be the case concerning optimistic projections concerning proposed space ventures predicted to be underway by the mid-2020s. Two proposals immediately come to mind: the earth-orbiting Von Braun Space Station and planned manned voyages to the planet Mars.

Upon closer examination, it would not be unreasonable to conclude that perhaps we have not considered the gravity of these proposals as they may affect those who would consider such opportunities to venture into space. Indeed, the nature of gravity itself could become one of mankind’s major obstacles concerning fulfilling any dreams of venturing into space.

Gravity is a phenomenon little understood, even though it is a ‘force’ perpetually experienced by all living creatures who inhabit planet Earth. From the direct effects on the human body when not subjected to earth’s full gravitational field, to the very nature of gravity’s role within the structure of the universe, a closer look the gravity of our situation certainly appears to be in order. ICU

One year ago today (Dec 13, 2017), Danielle Metz was rushed to hospital by ambulance and not expected to survive the day. What preceded and followed that event is a personal story that many may find uncomfortable, but as we often remind ourselves, some issues are black and white and visit us right at our very doorstep. Like life and death.

For reasons revealed in today’s broadcast, Danielle’s story has not been made public till now. Even as a growing number of fans of The Danielle Metz Show were beginning to enjoy regular releases of her then just-launched podcast, little would they have guessed that Danielle was near death in the hospital intensive care unit for two months, to be followed by further hospitalization and recovery. As Danielle was sharing the joys of celebrating the Christmas season on her Christmas Day podcast with Robert, in reality on Christmas Day 2017 she was still deep in a coma on full life support, not expected to survive her ordeal.

How all this came to pass is the subject of today’s one-year-later special broadcast, hosted by Robert Vaughan, with Danielle Metz and Bob Metz as today’s show guests.

From Danielle’s personal experience of ‘clinical death’ to the general value of life, also included in our discussion is a warning about a health condition known as sepsis, which causes what most know as ‘septic shock.’ The odds of surviving sepsis are extremely low, and even when survival is no longer threatened, full recovery can be another matter entirely.

The fact that Danielle is with us today to share her experience is itself a welcome spoiler to a story that has so far thankfully turned out Just Right.
