Like them or not, the labels of ‘Left’ and ‘Right’ are invariably used in the political war of words that rages perpetually. As ideological identifiers, they are fundamental and necessary.
While those on the Left often proudly boast their ideological affiliation with the Left, those on the Right have been shamed into avoiding their proper and commendable political affiliation. Today, being labeled ‘extreme right wing’ is considered the ultimate insult since it has been falsely associated with the evils of fascism, an ideology of the Left.
This problem has become particularly visible (though not understood) thanks to the debates seen and heard on social media, where accusations of being ‘extreme’ right, racist, fascist, etc have become the common pejorative used by the Left against its opponents.
This has made it possible for many on the Left to justify censoring or banning the ‘extreme right’ from social media. Ironically, social media has been monopolized by the Left – communists, fascists, socialists, and ‘progressives.’ Continue reading »
The corruption disruption – The Danielle Metz Show 052
The clouds are circling around Prime Minister Justin “Sunny Ways” Trudeau in the form of a scandal regarding Canada’s largest construction company: SNC-Lavalin, based in Trudeau’s home province of Quebec.
The Prime Minister’s Office, officials and even the Prime Minister himself have been accused of pressuring the then Attorney General and Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould to override the Director of Public Prosecution and give SNC-Lavalin a walk on bribery and fraud charges during an election year. When she didn’t, she was fired.
She did not go quietly.
What does this scandal mean for the fate of the federal Liberals in Canada? Just what does it say about the state of Canadian politics in general? Join Danielle and Robert to find out.
598 – This is war
There is a growing consensus that what was once only a ‘war of words’ is now approaching a point where that ‘war’ can no longer be fought only with words. The war is now moving into the courtroom, and a major case going forward is Steven Crowder’s (Louder With Crowder) lawsuit against Facebook.
We fully support this action, as we find ourselves asking: Isn’t it time that those on the ‘Right’ began treating their opponents on the Left in the same warlike manner the Left has been exhibiting towards them?
It has regrettably become clear that social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook , Twitter, and others known to be owned and/or operated by interests on the Left, have been found to be misrepresenting themselves and their services in a way that should concern everyone able to read these words on-line.
After having actively pursued content providers on the ‘right’ to set up shop on their platforms, they have now been found to be unethically restricting and banning those same voices from their promised ‘free speech’ platforms, for the most dubious reasons. This has been done through the filing of numerous false copyright claims, ‘de-platforming,’ ‘de-boosting,’ ‘de-monitizing’ and other hidden actions cutting off content providers from their established audiences. The alleged hoax by actor Jussie Smollett of staging, according to the Chicago Police Department, a beating by white, Trump supporters in order to further his personal career on the Fox television show Empire, combined with the predictable reactions by journalists and political pundits stand as further examples of the Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Mischief or a case of domestic terrorism? Danielle and Robert dissect the event to put into context the actions of a man of apparent questionable character in a society eager to pounce upon any suggestion that Donald Trump is fueling racism and “homophobia.”
The political world is engaged in an eternal war of words that consists of two primary factors: (1) the words themselves, and (2) the means by which those words are expressed and heard by others.
Among the most important words in the political lexicon are the words ‘Left’ and ‘Right’ – words that have come to represent political ideologies diametrically opposed. In both theory and practice, the Left represents the condition of Tyranny, while the Right represents the condition of Freedom. Few understand this, because the vast majority has been influenced by decades of propaganda creating a false conception of Left and Right.
Tragically, most mistakenly believe that there is a ‘middle of the road’ or ‘centrist’ position on an imaginary ‘spectrum’ that can ‘mix’ tyranny with freedom – or worse – avoid the ‘extreme’ of either Left or Right. Others have dismissed the labels entirely because they have (quite understandably) seen little difference between many of the so-called ‘left-wing’ and ‘right-wing’ parties and politicians.
This confusion has always worked to the advantage of the Left – and is perpetually and intentionally promoted by the Left. It has long been those on the Left who have been winning the epistemological war, by creating anti-concepts, turning objective definitions into subjective ones, and most outrageously, having gotten away with falsely placing ‘fascism’ (an entirely Leftist ideology) on the ‘Right’ of the political polarity. DMS 049 – The castration society
When is a cigar just a cigar? Never – if the American Psychological Association (APA) is allowed to answer that question.
In making their observations about The APA’s 2018 Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Boys and Men, Danielle and Robert review the guideline’s litany of gender and sex role irrationalities.
What the APA appears to conclude, concludes Danielle herself, is that ‘white’ and ‘heterosexual’ men are no longer a ‘norm,’ which is essentially a meaningless assertion. However, the APA is attempting to use this argument as a means of demonstrating that there is a ‘new normal’ post-modern behavioral standard of ‘masculinity’ – and that the old norms are socially harmful and destructive.
Most notably, in the APA’s ‘striving’ to arrive at its ‘conclusions,’ it is difficult not to notice that the term ‘strive’ is used dozens of times in the guideline, clearly implying an agenda rather than an earnest effort at research related to reality. In their attempt to socially ‘castrate’ the true norms of masculinity, the authors of the APA guidelines have succeeded only in castrating concepts, which, significantly, has been their goal all along.
From our point of view, what would be Just Right is a psychological assessment of the American Psychological Association – but no one seems to have the balls to do it.
It’s remarkable how many people passionately support government initiatives for reasons demonstrably false and/or contrary to their own declared intentions or objectives.
Today, we examine three issues where this phenomenon prevails. (1) the promotion of gun control as a means of ‘preventing’ injuries and death; (2) the promotion of a ‘single payer’ state run system to ‘prevent’ those in need of medical care from being unable to pay for such care; and (3) the support of ‘Amber Alerts’ as a means of ‘preventing’ tragic outcomes in criminal child abduction cases.
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” goes the old saying. But this once reasonable perspective has now been turned into a ‘pathology’ of ‘preventative prescriptions’ that have more to do with creating narratives, than with ‘preventing’ undesirable outcomes.
The latest example occurred last week when an “Amber Alert” was issued in Ontario regarding the abduction of 11-year-old Riya Rajkumar. Police received hundreds of complaints about how the alert was issued, and with good reason. Continue reading »
