Trump’s electoral victory should not be seen as a mission accomplished. His mission is just beginning.
“Trump has to be able to put people like those in Operation Crossfire in jail,” suggests Salim Mansur. “Unless he can do that, there will be no accounting and no future American will be safe.”
Salim describes MAGA (Make America Great Again) as a movement dedicated to restoring America to its constitutional roots. It’s a simple objective, but comes with a tremendously complex array of issues that must be addressed individually.
Those issues include America’s immigration crisis, the state of the economy, free trade and tariffs, health care, the de-weaponization of the Justice Department, and of course, the broader challenge of ‘draining the swamp,’ to name but a few.
In our review of each of these issues, we must be able to both appreciate the positive developments that have arisen as a consequence of Trump’s election, and be aware of the very real dangers associated with Trump’s coming agenda.
Putin himself has expressed concern for the safety of Trump following the assassination attempts against Trump, “and I think he’s not safe, even now.” And then, citing the nature of the attacks on Trump’s family, Putin declared that this “confirms how low the political system of the United States has fallen.” A sobering and accurate assessment, Putin’s observation will certainly be a shared perspective with Trump when their official relationship resumes after Trump takes office.
Says Salim: “The mandate for Trump is to rein in the rogue elements in the federal government – the intelligence agencies.” Interestingly, the American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language defines ‘rogue’ as “an unprincipled, deceitful, and unreliable person; a scoundrel or rascal.”
As far as a description of America’s current regime is concerned, that sounds about Just Right to us.
