While most Muslims elected to office are primarily on the Left and of the Islamist tradition, it is refreshing to know that there are those of the Islamic faith tradition who have embraced the classical liberal values of the West. Professor Emeritus Salim Mansur is one such man.

An outspoken critic of Leftist multicultural policies and a life-long defender of individual freedom, Professor Mansur has devoted his life and career to further the values of Western society.

Although born in Calcutta and raised in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) Professor Mansur has adopted a patriotic Canada First political philosophy having immigrated to Canada almost 50 years ago. Regardless of his decades of promoting freedom, he has faced an uphill battle trying to convince those who purport to be on the side of freedom and capitalism that he is the genuine article. Rejected by the Conservative Party of Canada in 2019 he ran for Parliament under the People’s Party of Canada banner becoming a bit of a cause célèbre for his outspoken criticism of the Islamization of Canada, globalism, and the Liberal Party’s policy of open immigration.

Salim was in conversation with Just Right Media’s Robert Vaughan to discuss the backlash he has received from the so-called ‘conservative’ public for his faith, confronting the mistaken prejudice that all Muslims must be Islamists and on the Left.

The lights are going out in the West | Salim Mansur

The reaction to the latest beheading of a Parisian school teacher by an Islamist immigrant to France is yet another example of why the lights are going out in the West, says Professor Emeritus Salim Mansur.

Once the wailing and candle-light vigils are over the French will return to a society of appeasement and open immigration—a recipe for more death, destruction, and humiliation as this once-great nation is brought to its knees.

Obama’s attempted coup d’état | Salim Mansur

With relentless tenacity, members of the former Obama Administration, led by the failed presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton have sought to undermine and overthrow the duly elected President, Donald Trump by falsifying allegations against him, and by illegally surveilling his transition team.

Since George Washington stepped down from office in 1797 there has been a peaceful transition of power. Each preceding president has accepted that his time as leader of the nation was over and that the will of the people must prevail upon the investiture of his successor. This 219-year tradition came to a close with the end of President Barack Obama’s term in office.

Aided by the apparatus of the intelligence community and a complicit media the Clinton/Obama conspiracy will go down as one of the darker moments of American history.

Only three weeks away from the next election, Professor Emeritus, Salim Mansur and Robert Vaughan discuss the attempted coup d’état and how it might affect the very nature of the United States as a constitutional republic.

The WE scandal—The grinning culprits will get away with it | Salim Mansur

Justin Trudeau has outdone any past ethics violations and personal corruption with his government’s attempt to award a contract to a company, the WE Foundation, which, under the cover of various shell companies and charities, has apparently paid his family almost $500,000 in speaking fees and benefits.

Canadian politics has always had its corrupt elites. In the early 19th century it was the Family Compact in Upper Canada and the Château Clique in Lower Canada. But rarely has the corruption reached the heights that it has under the leadership of Justin Trudeau.

The actions of this government are quite literally criminal but they don’t seem worried. They have paid off the media and the legal authorities are failing to take him to account. The grinning culprits simply give a half-hearted mea culpa and move on with corruption as usual knowing full well that they will get away with their immoral political depravity.

Joining Robert Vaughan to discuss the latest cronyism of Justin Trudeau and his Liberal government is Western University’s Professor Emeritus Salim Mansur.

In defense of heroes | Salim Mansur

Celebrating the founding of one’s country should be a joyous occasion but the recent marking of Independence Day and Canada Day have been marred in both countries. In the United States, we see a concerted effort on the part of the Left and the Democratic Party to destroy their nation. In Canada, all celebrations were cancelled under the pretext of health and safety and under orders from a Prime Minister who said that Canada is the first “post-national state” which has no “core identity.”

Regardless of attempts by the Marxists of both countries to destroy the very foundations of their nationhood people in the United States were treated to a magnificent display at Mount Rushmore by a truly patriotic president. In Canada we witnessed a gathering of some 10,000 patriots on Parliament Hill, defying the dictates of their unpatriotic rulers.

Professor Salim Mansur was one of those on Parliament Hill in Ottawa who exercised his right to freely assemble and his right to protest the actions of a Prime Minister bent on destroying his country. He also was uplifted by President Donald Trump’s speech at Mount Rushmore—a speech that praised the United States as a nation founded on reason and equality for all.

In this interview, Professor Mansur tells us of his trip to Ottawa to be with his fellow patriots on Canada Day and he offers us his analyses of President Trump’s stirring speech in defense of heroes.

National Post contributor and journalist, Rex Murphy’s observation that Canada is not a racist country has rankled the Liberal elites who have taken a knee in faux shame at what they feel is an inherently racist culture ignoring our history and social mores.

Salim Mansur, Professor Emeritus at Western University, shares Rex’s view. Mansur, as a brown Indian Muslim who immigrated to Canada as a young man finds Canada to be a refuge from the racism of most other countries and defends its heritage as a free and welcoming society.
