Identity politics has become a parody of itself, to the point where it has become a multicultural monoculture of irrationality based on collectivist anti-concepts.

The most obvious evidence of identity politics is the rise of racism, and because the racist Left has falsely trumpeted that label so loudly and for so long, it has not only lost its meaning, but has become increasingly dismissed by most people not on the Left.

This itself presents a danger because actual racism does exist; to simply dismiss the term entirely risks failing to see racism when it is practiced.

As Ayn Rand observed so many years ago: “Today, racism is regarded as a crime if practiced by a majority – but as an inalienable right if practiced by a minority.” Continue reading »

Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle blue jeans ad has proven to be a ‘jean therapy’ against the WOKE virus. But is it a cure?

The literally insane reactions to the ad by a myriad of women saying that they are objecting to ‘eugenics’ was both laughable and tragic. Calling upon vague and contrived associations with Hitler, their objections were justified using terms and arguments like the following:

“Sweeney has great genes; she’s a Nazi; she’s fascist; she’s a racist; she owns a German shepherd as her dog whistle; her initials spell ‘SS’; she has white skin, blue eyes and blue jeans; American Eagle is promoting fascist propaganda, Christian nationalism and white supremacy; Sweeney is Hitler’s wet dream; cotton jeans are racist; American Eagle is reviving the Third Reich; Sweeney represents white supremacist patriarchy capitalistic beauty standards; the ads portray fascist aesthetics; the script is bigoted BS,” and much much more. 915 – VERITAS!—to freedom

‘Veritas’ is the Latin word for ‘truth’ and is also the name of a Roman goddess who represents truthfulness and virtue. One individual well known for having his name associated with this word is James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas.

His expressed experience after having been ‘fired’ from his own organization reflects certain principles in common with politics, as recently illustrated by seemingly unrelated accounts of life in North Korea today and life during the fall of the Roman Empire.

In speaking truth to freedom, all of these accounts cite the reality that truth itself – veritas – is a key value and virtue upon which any free society depends. Is it any wonder then that unfree collectivist societies and globalists fear the truth more than almost anything else on the planet?

The eternal fundamental political struggle represented by the political polarities of Left and Right is that between collectivism and individualism. To the degree that a society is collectivist, its citizens have less freedom and less prosperity. To the degree that a society is individualist, both freedom and prosperity are the result. Justin Trudeau has claimed that “there is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada” and that Canada is the world’s “first post-national state.” This, of course, was wishful thinking on the part of the Liberal Prime Minister, who also claimed that “Canada works better when there are Quebecers running it because we’ve got a sense of the whole country.” This inflated sense of importance and narcissistic attitude contradicts Canada’s long history of Western, primarily British, values of classical liberalism.

Trudeau’s attempt to undermine Canadian culture is seen by some as part of broader efforts by globalists and socialists like him who seek to erode our history and spirit. Some Canadians, repulsed by such efforts, have banded together to reclaim Canada’s proud heritage as a country that respected individual rights and fostered economic prosperity. One such organization is Canadian Citizens for Charter Rights and Freedoms (C3RF), co-founded and presided over by Major Russ Cooper (Ret’d).

899 – An Ignoble Truth—about the Noble Lie

In our second discussion with Salim Mansur relating to the history and ideas behind ‘neoconservatism,’ we find ourselves once again confronted with the Noble Lie: the belief that some people (the ‘elites’) are endowed with a natural right to rule other people (the masses).

In stark contrast to the principles upon which America was founded (and to the expression of these principles in the American Constitution), the various ‘noble lies’ that slowly crept into the American consciousness resulted in what Salim calls the ‘warping’ of America’s culture.

Among the manifestations assumed by the Noble Lie was one called the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), a foreign policy initiative calling for America’s ‘Full Spectrum dominance’ to rule the nations and resources of the entire world.

Selling that idea to the American people, in a nation conditioned never to go abroad ‘looking for monsters to slay,’ became a fait accompli with American acceptance of the twin myths of ‘American exceptionalism’ and of a ‘chosen people’. Indeed, the establishment of the state of Israel, largely supported by Christian Zionists in the ‘bible belt’ of America, became another justification for America’s going abroad looking for ‘monsters to slay.’ Continue reading »

883 – Just write—the power of fiction is no fiction | John C.A. Manley

Canadians were “surprisingly sadistic” during Canada’s recent Covid lockdowns says author John Manley, whose fictional account of that reality reflects some of his own personal experience in that regard.

As a book that just “had to be written,” Much Ado About Corona is a chilling reminder of a very real dystopia that many are attempting to shove down the memory hole of forgotten lessons of history. Indeed, the absence of current fictional stories, TV shows and movies that even acknowledge the recent and current forced lockdowns, forced injections, and other death cult atrocities is telling.

Not surprisingly, YouTube immediately deleted our interview with John, recognizing that, even though ostensibly a discussion about fiction and writing fiction, truth is no stranger to fiction. Truth is an essential element of any good fiction.

In contrast, YouTube prides itself on spreading lies, misinformation, and disinformation while projecting its crimes on to those who are exposing YouTube’s lies, misinformation, and disinformation. YouTube gives new meaning to the phrase ‘truth is stranger than fiction.’

But the power of fiction is no fiction. Especially when truth becomes ‘stranger than fiction,’ it is fiction that can best reveal that truth in a way that is Just Right.

882 – Singing to end the reign (of tyranny)—with more music that’s Just Right

“It’s culture” say many reacting to the flood of musical memes based on Donald Trump’s “Eating-the-dogs-eating-the-cats” refrain.

In this, our fourth venture into the culture of ‘Music that’s Just Right,’ the significance of the memes have forced us to feature several versions, attesting to a musical phenomenon that is unprecedented. With the American election only a few weeks away, their significance is all the more heightened.

It is remarkable how creative and well-performed so many of these memes are. Even more remarkable is that they are being created at all. For Donald Trump, this represents a massive cultural re-alignment, once again demonstrating the principle that “politics is downstream from culture.”

Of course, our musical spotlight today extends beyond the current “Eating-the-dogs-eating-the-cats” phenomenon. Also featured are several musical voices for freedom from other eras in the history of Western culture. These yet again demonstrate another principle – that history repeats, and that the struggle for freedom is eternal and demands eternal vigilance.

Sometimes that vigilance takes the form of music that’s Just Right.
