594 – The Covington testament

To appreciate the significance of an event that began in front of Washington DC’s Lincoln Memorial on January 18, it is first necessary to determine which event we’re talking about.

Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann, who with his fellow high school students from Kentucky were congregated at the Lincoln Memorial waiting for a bus to return them home, suddenly became the Leftist media’s national poster boy representing hate and racism.

After two avowedly racist activist groups aggressively confronted him with their racist ideologies – Sandmann’s inaction and smile in response to the unjustifiable obscenities hurled at him was cause enough for the media and a significant portion of the public to blame the victim. More significantly, that same media dismissed or even justified the immoral and racist actions of those confronting the fifteen-year-old student.

‘Fake news’ is a far too inadequate label to describe the Covington narratives created by the media of the Left, from CNN to NBC. Even after the full context of relevant factors had surfaced, their continuing false narratives serve as a testament to what has become a new low in journalistic standards or integrity. This is the real story, the compelling story, the essential story, the encompassing story that must be preserved as a lesson for all. Continue reading »

On Jan 18 in front of Washington DC’s Lincoln Memorial, a remarkable newsworthy event did not happen. Consequently, it became a top news story. Remarkable!

So remarkable, that it should be referenced in all future tests relating to the credibility of journalism itself. In fact, suggests Robert in his conversation with Danielle, it should be referred to as the ‘Covington Test,’ in honor of Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann who became a symbol of the media’s disgraceful abandonment of its traditional role as a source of reliable information.

Having earlier attended the ‘March for Life’ rally barely acknowledged by the media, Sandmann found himself thrust into the court of public opinion, judged guilty of the “face crime of smiling while white,” as Danielle describes the media spin.

Though merely waiting for a bus to take him and his fellow Covington students back home, he found himself caught in a controversy that could become a defining point in the phenomenon of ‘fake news,’ as well as represent a possible turning point regarding the future of journalism itself. 592 – Guest: Paul Lambert – A short wave with a long reach

Shortwave radio has long been a weapon in the war of ideas, and continues to be so today, much to the surprise of many. So powerful a weapon, at times throughout history simply being caught in possession of a shortwave radio could warrant imprisonment or death.

It is a significant fact that those threatened by shortwave signals have never been friends of freedom. So it is fitting that our guest, Paul Lambert, who sponsors Just Right on shortwave broadcasts heard around the world, should join us in a discussion about shortwave and about some of his European perspectives on many of the issues often raised on the show.

As a resident of Berlin, Paul’s views on the political environment within Germany offer some fascinating comparisons to the narratives heard outside that country in the major news media. From the disturbing social trends between men and women developing in conjunction with Germany’s mass migration policies, to arbitrarily forcing households, employers, and even car rental agencies to pay a ‘TV tax,’ these trends may well become the norm in a not-too-distant North American Leftist future as well.

At the heart of every issue discussed is, of course, the very ‘right’ itself to discuss any matter or issue with willing participants, and to share those discussions with willing listeners/viewers. As part of the Global Compact For Migration Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has dutifully offered up $595 million to “sensitize and educate” Canadian media professionals. This buyout will go to “trusted” media outlets selected by journalists hand-picked by the Liberal government.

Salim Mansur, professor emeritus at Western University, explains the implications for such blatant largess, from the independence of a free press to the role Canada under Justin Trudeau is playing in the broader United Nations agenda for a global empire.

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has effectively put the final nail in the coffin of Canada’s mainstream media credibility by committing $595 million tax dollars towards “trusted sources” in that media. In other words, Canada’s media can no longer be seen as a “trusted source” in any regard.

Our concern is not just about the undemocratic and immoral use of the cash subsidies. Those subsidies are just part of a larger state propaganda and media control campaign.

Quoting from Objective 17, Danielle cites the objective of that campaign to Robert in opening their conversation about the coming welfare media. Namely: to “promote independent objective and quality reporting of media outlets, including internet-based information by sensitizing and educating media professionals on migration-related issues and terminology, investing in ethical reporting standards and advertising, and stopping allocation of public funding or material support to media outlets that systematically promote intolerance, xenophobia, racism and other forms of discrimination towards migrants, in full respect for the freedom of the media.”

Says Robert: “This is one of the most important and draconian measures I’ve ever seen any government do in the Western world – to buy out the media and make them more or less a welfare press.”

More frightening than Trudeau’s subsidies will be the continued promotion of his government’s perverse and obscene obsession with racial diversity. With plans to ‘sensitize and educate’ media professionals on what ‘migration related’ language they must use in expressing their own ideas, Trudeau’s diversity policy reveals itself to be as racially intolerant as that of past nations promoting racial purity and harmony! Neither policy represents ‘objective’ truth; both are explicitly racist and originate in the ideologies of the Left. Continue reading »

584 – The trial of Tommy Robinson with guest, Andrew Lawton

With a first-hand account of several arresting developments in the ‘re-trial’ of Britain’s Tommy Robinson, guest Andrew Lawton shares some of his personal observations about the real story behind the on-going trials of Tommy Robinson. As a fellow of the True North Initiative, Andrew recently found himself face-to-face with members of the British media while attending court proceedings there.

It turned out that there was less to report about Tommy, than about how the British media has (not) been reporting the arresting developments related to his ‘contempt of court’ charges. To complicate matters, discussion about the issue at the core of the entire controversy – immigration and the problems related to political Islam – is not tolerated.

Having declared the media an “enemy of the people,” Tommy Robinson does not risk alienating a media that might otherwise objectively report the facts surrounding the sheer injustice to which he has been subject. Britain’s mainstream media, like the North American mainstream media, is primarily Leftist in nature, cocooned in an environment where ‘facts-don’t-matter.’

In an age where people can see the ‘facts’ for themselves thanks to modern technology and communications, the contrast between what the mainstream reports and what people can see is difficult to avoid. Yet the Left does indeed avoid it, without apology. Continue reading »

DMS 036 – The Acosting of the American mind

“What flummoxes me is not the incident itself, but the complete denial by the left-wing media that it ever happened – even as they are playing video demonstrating that it actually did!” marvels Danielle in today’s conversation with Robert.

Only by denying the direct evidence of one’s senses can it be argued that CNN’s Jim Acosta “did not touch” the intern working at the White House media conference on November 7. Yet shamelessly, that’s exactly what the media on the Left chose to do. CNN reported the incident by not including the relevant incident in its visual account, while verbally reporting that it never happened.

The ‘touching’ incident was the last in a string of incidents eventually resulting in the White House revoking Acosta’s press pass. Amazingly, a subsequent court decision (by a Trump-appointed judge citing ‘press freedom’ issues) ruled that Acosta’s White House pass must be reinstated! (Since no one is preventing Acosta from writing or broadcasting whatever he wishes, the court’s rationalization merely provides more evidence of non sequitur Leftist thinking in this affair.)

But the real accosting of the American mind has taken the form of Leftist media denials so blatant that Danielle continues to marvel at how “I honestly have so many words of bafflement that I can’t channel them all coherently.” The media is committing suicide by actively “destroying its own credibility,” adds Robert.
