Soldier

“I’m only twenty-five years old, and I don’t know anything about anything,” wisely chides our in-studio guest, Richard Raycraft.

That’s exactly why, as CHRW Radio’s (94.9 FM in London Ontario) News and Spoken Word Director who has a personal passion for the integrity of journalism, Richard likes to ask questions.

Having just completed a CBC radio documentary that has earned him acclaim, its subject matter is one in which Richard shares an additional passion beyond journalism: fighting against ISIS.

What would inspire someone like Richard to want to fight ISIS by joining a foreign militia? What was it that inspired two other young Canadians to do the same – and to lose their lives in the process? The answers to both questions are what merged as the theme of Richard’s documentary. Man with megaphone

“Hello darkness, my old friend…”

Though not yet law, Canada’s Motion 103 (M-103) (against “Islamophobia” and “systemic racism”) has an intent, warns Salim Mansur, Western University’s associate professor of political science.

“I would go as far as to say that in Canada we do not have free speech,” he laments. “What we have is regulated speech.

“In fact, in all of the Western nations except the United States, there is no free speech. There is regulated speech. It’s only in the United States that we come closest to the ideal of free speech because of the First Amendment.” Continue reading »

Freedom of Speech

As predicted, the fallout from August 26th’s disgraceful “anti-hate” rally in downtown London Ontario is just beginning.

The big question now is this: Will this coming Saturday’s (September 23) next PEGIDA rally spark the same kind of response or will the city just simply attempt to ignore it?

OR: will Jenny Hill and PEGIDA get their much-deserved apology from the city?

Having been falsely accused by London’s mayor and most of the media of being “white supremacists” and “racists,” now that the truth is out, will those guilty of casting false accusations do the RIGHT thing or will they simply ignore reality and continue on their journey in the LEFT direction – and do the wrong thing?

As if that’s not enough to keep us all on the edge of our seats, what you’ll hear from our guests today, Mark Vandermaas of Israel Truth Week and Jenny Hill of PEGIDA, will no doubt be alarming to many – as well it should. Continue reading »

Inconvenient truths about the ‘climate change’ debate

We call it the “Greenhouse Defect.” Take it literally. Take it figuratively. Works both ways.

In the politically driven debate about “fighting climate change,” the actual “science” surrounding climate and the earth’s environment is simply not relevant.

Just ask Chris Ballard, Ontario’s Minister of the Environment and Climate Change. In his Sept 9 letter to the editor disputing a column by Lorrie Goldstein, Ballard wrote the following:

“As Ontario’s independent environmental Commissioner said in her annual report, ‘putting a price on carbon by itself would not be enough to achieve Ontario’s reduction targets… Ontario needs complementary emission reduction measures.’ Continue reading »

Blindfolded Man

Our show last week with Amir Farahi stirred up a bit of a storm, and the fallout from August 26th’s “anti-hate” rally in downtown London is just beginning.

Possible efforts on the part of the City of London to backtrack on its ill-considered motion (to ban political protest on city property based on disagreement with the ideology of the protestors) will do little to untarnish the City’s undemocratic intentions. While eliminating the motion would certainly be welcomed, it is a mistake to view such action as a sign of repentance.

The city’s outrageous motion was but the tip of a now-exposed racist iceberg floating deep beneath the surface at London City Hall. Not only was the motion specifically tied to the PEGIDA event held in downtown London on August 26, its significance was further magnified by London Mayor Matt Brown’s endorsement of the ironically named “anti-hate” rallies that were being organized to prevent PEGIDA from being heard (whether figuratively or literally).

Even worse, in their collective display of “virtue signaling,” the Leftists of every stripe who showed up to demonstrate virtue, instead demonstrated their common vice: their mutual quest for the unearned (a philosophical and moral concept that would utterly elude them). Continue reading »

The spitting image of the Left

Spitting In The Face of Freedom and Democracy

Though an isolated incident during the downtown London Ontario protests this past weekend, the image of Bailey Lamon literally spitting on the face of a PEGIDA supporter is perfectly symbolic of what the rest of the 500 “counter-protesters” at the event were doing: spitting in the face of freedom and democracy.

Not surprisingly, the counter protesters consisted of a coalition of Leftists. Clearly identified individuals and groups included Marxists, Antifa “anti-fascist” fascists, the Communist Party of Canada, the fake news media and commentators (i.e., the London Free Press), and others. Hate-and-obscenity spewing professional agitators openly displayed their hate and obscenity on signs, flags bearing the hammer and sickle were flying, and many individuals in the crowd wore Marxist Che Guevara T-shirts.

Leading and encouraging the pack was none other than London’s mayor, Matt Brown, who proudly joined them in a display of public INTOLERANCE never before witnessed in London.

“Londoners came together, they stood in solidarity and they clearly communicated that there is no place for hate, racism, Islamophobia in our community,” he proudly boasted in the Aug 28 London Free Press. Continue reading »

At a time when freedom of speech is under constant threat Just Right presents Dr. Christina Behme of Brandon University. Growing up in the communist regime of East Germany she now shares the ominous parallels of that brutal regime’s efforts at trying to eliminate ‘hate speech’ with Canada’s attempt at the same.

Dr. Behme spoke at the Annual General Meeting of the Society for Academic Freedom and Scholarship which was held at Western University in London, Ontario on May 13, 2017.
