In his recent testimony to the National Citizen’s Inquiry, Bruce Pardy—Executive Director of Rights Probe—made clear that Canadians have allowed their country to devolve into an all-powerful Administrative State.

We have a nation where Parliament delegates to the Executive, the Executive determines what, in their discretion, is best for the good of the country, and the courts defer to the “expertise” of the Executive.

While many might suggest that such an Executive branch is a necessary feature of a modern state we must acknowledge that given such great powers we can also expect our liberties to be in peril.

Says, Bruce, “I do not agree that it is the role of people inside the government to fix social problems. I think the role of government is to tell us what the general rules are that define the relationship between each one of us to the other and between us and the state. If you have those general abstract rules that apply to everybody all the time, then you shouldn’t need the kind of Administrative State we have now. I’m describing what is sometimes called a “Night-watchman State,” a state that is there to keep the peace and to establish the basic principles and then otherwise leaves people alone to make their own way.”

809 – Inappropriately suggestive—the human mind

If the events of the past few years have demonstrated anything, it is how susceptible so many people are to suggestion. It is a phenomenon recently popularized and described by Mattias Desmet as mass formation, which he likened to a form of hypnotism.

This begs a few questions: are those so “hypnotized” unable to exercise their own free will, or do they give it up willingly? By what process are they so affected? How can one stay connected to reality?

One famous individual who understood the nature and effects of hypnotism was the late Peter Reveen, whose magical showmanship demonstrated the power of hypnosis for thousands attending his performances spanning decades.

There’s nothing magical or mystical about hypnotism. But its effect on those willing to be hypnotized is very real, and has therefore understandably attracted the attention of those whose agenda involves controlling others with the least amount of effort. History has clearly demonstrated the suggestive power of propaganda and the psychological operations that governments and covert organizations have unleashed upon an unsuspecting public.

By considering the shocking results provided by studies like the Milgram and the Solomon Asch experiments in the context of today’s dystopian zeitgeist, we can develop a deeper understanding about the power of individual suggestion and how it contributes to the mass psychology of fascism. It all boils down to the power of the human mind – to both create and to destroy.

By focusing our minds in a way that is Just Right, we can resist the flood of inappropriate suggestions calling for an end to free will and the conditions that allow for its exercise.

808 – Going Woke—for the good of evil

In the nebulous subjective fog of the floating abstraction referred to as “Woke culture,” arriving at anything close to an objective definition of “Woke” is an impossible task.

Some argue that the madness of “Woke” is a form of mental illness, or evil, or both. Given the movement’s utter disconnect from reality and reason, these perspectives are understandable.

After all, the “Woke” agenda encompasses the transgender ideology, the climate change ideology, the Covid ideology, the racist ideology of Black Lives Matter, the “words-are-violence” ideology of censorship, violent protest and threats against peaceful people, war mongering and hatred, and all things considered “democratic.”

The visible and outrageous denials of evidence and facts that can be witnessed by anyone may appear to be a form of mental illness, but it is much more; it is evidence of an evil movement dedicated to nihilism and the destruction of Western culture.

In 1947, Ludwig Von Mises warned: “It may happen that Fascism will be resurrected very soon under a new label and with new slogans and symbols. But if this happens, the consequences will be detrimental. For Fascism is not, as the Fascists trumped, a “new way to life,” it is a rather old way toward destruction and death.”

Today’s temporary label for Fascism is “Woke.” Its slogans include “Own nothing and be happy,” “Black lives matter,” “Build back better,” and a whole host of evil notions that its victims must not criticize.

One sure sign of an evil ideology is the demand that some kind of “sacrifice” be made for the “good of society.” Throughout history, every evil ideology from communism to fascism has called upon making “sacrifices” to correct some perceived social inequity.

In the end, these sacrifices never served the “good of society,” but turned out to be sacrifices for the “good of evil” – for the good of those calling for sacrifice in the first place.

The best way to understand “W.O.K.E.” in a way that is Just Right, is to treat it as an acronym for Worldwide Organized Killing Effort.

807 – Trans unreality versus the ultimate binary

Touted as an “International Day of Trans Visibility,” what was recently made visible to the entire world is that the so-called “Trans” community consists of mentally ill political activists utterly disconnected from reality.

Thanks to Chris Elston, otherwise known as “Billboard Chris,” the world was able to directly witness the violent behavior of “Trans-activists” as police, members of the media and the activists themselves, not only denied seeing the assaults, but accused the victims of violence instead of the perpetrators.

Trying to make sense out of visibly irrational behavior leaves many bewildered, frustrated, and even angry. But at the root of the division between those who perceive reality and those who do not lies the ultimate binary: the metaphysical foundation of human thought and thinking.

Philosophically identified as the conflict between the “primacy of consciousness” and the “primacy of existence,” Ayn Rand and Leonard Peikoff described that conflict in terms of how people perceive and understand existence (reality) itself. Continue reading »

806 – Trans formation—and the binary reality of sex and politics

The uncivilized and violent behavior of so-called “trans-activists” is a direct consequence of their conflict with reality itself. It’s not the people they attack that they hate; they hate themselves.

Unable to justify their thoughts, feelings or actions, they blame that inability on the reaction of rational individuals to their epistemological dysfunction. They are angry and frustrated because their concepts and definitions do not describe or define anything objective or real.

In terms of “gender identity,” reality dictates that there are only two sexes: male and female. Similarly, in terms of political identity, there are only two polarities: Left and Right.

Accurate definitions are the key to discovering what is real and what is truth. Reality can only be apprehended by using real definitions of real concepts that actually exist in nature – another way of describing reality. Continue reading »

805 – Unpresidented—The continuing persecution of Donald Trump

“Unprecedented!” So say virtually all observers commenting on Donald Trump’s indictment and arraignment on charges of “falsifying business records.”

“Unprecedented” is an understatement. Given the context and greater narrative, a new vocabulary is called for. Perhaps a more focused question to ask is: Will Trump be “unpresidented” by the unprecedented events and developments we are seeing? How one answers that question depends on what one knows – or does not know.

“Knowledge precedes victory; ignorance precedes defeat” is the quote attributable to Sun Tzu in our show opener today. Having been described as the “personification of The Art of War” himself, it is fair to assume that Trump possesses knowledge and power that terrifies his foes. To understand why the deep state and the Left are so fearful of Trump, one has only to consider his political agenda that he has been making public at numerous political rallies and events.

Among his ten steps to “kill the deep state,” Trump plans to “declassify and publish documents on deep state spying, censorship, and corruption,” to “crackdown on (fake) news …and where possible, press criminal charges.” Continue reading »

804 – The people’s derivative—a call to action | Salim Mansur

Comments Off on 804 – The people’s derivative—a call to action | Salim Mansur

In the wake of several consecutive years of unconscionable actions of our governments, our good friend and regular guest Salim Mansur has reached a point where he is now on a mission to turn democratic theory into practice. By proposing an addition to the preamble of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Salim’s proposal would transform a Charter that was written by politicians for politicians into a Charter that would be written for, and authorized by, the people.

Events of the past several years have dramatically exposed the illusionary nature of Canada’s Constitution with regard to the protections of the rights and freedom of its citizens.

The very name of the Charter reflects former Prime Minister Trudeau’s obsession with codifying otherwise inalienable rights and freedom into a list of “grants” disguised as “rights” along with a list of “freedoms” in the plural. Even the silhouettes of representative Canadians depicted on each side of the Canadian flag contribute to the illusion that the Charter is a document “for the people.”

To turn the Charter into a document written “for the people,” Salim makes a persuasive and compelling case for adding seven words to the preamble of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms: “…derived from the will of the people.”

Dictionaries define “derive” thusly: “to draw or receive, as from a source or principle,” while “derivative” is defined as “that which is derived.” In the context of a charter “derived from the will of the people,” that derivative is freedom itself. Conversely, the derivative of a charter written by politicians for politicians is tyranny.

Whether Salim’s proposal turns out to be the addition to Canada’s Charter preamble that’s Just Right for the people will ironically still depend upon the will of the people to exercise that will.
